Good job Roni!  and I hope kim is getting it done.  Alot can be said about getting those long distances in.  Seems like I can only get about 4 miles in before the IT band starts barking at me.

27% beer??? Might as well just drink some pure grain alcohol.

I just talked to Litte Miss Boston (for the first time I might add!).  She feels great and is really happy with her time.  In fact she feels so good she is going out to eat with her family.

Off to finish decorating....

Thanks you guys!  I am very happy with how I ran this race.  I might have had a little better result if I had started out a little slower, but now is not the time to dwell on what might have been.  I'm super happy to be heading to Boston in 2011!

Your support has been incredible.  Let me just say that driving 2 hours after running for 3 1/2 has left me extremely stiff and I can barely walk from room to room!  It should be interesting tomorrow morning!  Race report should be up in a little bit.

I have never had a better plate of corned beef hash with eggs!

How did I miss this? what do you think?  No George!

Armstrong and Bruyneel have brought many of their Astana colleagues from 2009 with them to the new squad, most notably American Levi Leipheimer and German Andreas Kloden, who has twice finished on the podium at the Tour. Also making the switch from the Kazakh-based squad are super-domestiques Yaroslav Popovych and Haimar Zubeldia, along with Sergio Paulinho, Chris Horner, Gregory Rast, Jose Luis Rubiera, Tomas Vaitkus, Dmitriy Muravyev and Janez Brajkovi?.

yep, he is on BMC along with Cadel Evans and Allasandro Ballan, they have a decent team also. Very cool to have so many strong US based teams.

My sports med doc is actually going to their training camp this week with Trek to work on the physiological aspect of fitting for some of the younger riders.....totally jealous.  Would love to be a fly on the wall (or on the their handlebars during rides).  Can't wait for the Tour....at least I have the Olympics to keep me occupied.

roni_runnw - 2009-12-06 1:02 AM Thanks guys! I appreciate the thought, but about 50k is not 50k. I will finish a 50k one of these days though. For now, I'll be taking a week off and then working on some short distance s/b/r for awhile.

I love this group! You're all the best!

just read your fb, now i get it.  still very proud of you for stepping up to the line and giving it what you had.

Yea, sorry about that. My post wasn't very clear. I was still a bit fuddled and trying to put as positive of a spin on it as I could.

Lone Star is 20 weeks from yesterday.

Also, if you guys fire up the grill, be careful it gets hot.  And when it gets hot its not a good idea to put your hand on it.

That sounds like some sort of clever play on words.  Not sure I get it, but am thinking it is directed toward someone smack talking about Lonestar.....maybe?

i wish.  at least i was holding a beer in my hand when i did it so the entire palm isn't burned.

and its hard to talk smack when i'm the only one racing there that actually has been doing something the past month.  of course i need it more than everyone... but still.  good to finally see people getting off there butts and doing something.

and its good to see you back in the pool too.  ;-)

I was just getting the battery charged back to full.  ;-)  The gloves are coming off now.

Well maybe not today - there is still ice and snow on the ground, it's freezing outside and I'm getting ready to head out on my bike and freeze my butt off.

you're supposed to put your hand close to the coals test the heat, not on the coals...
