This is funneh.
In staff meeting this morning I pass around company holiday cards for our staff of 5 to sign. We have a list of about 30 individuals/companies we send cards to - vendors, partners, etc.

"Susan (who is gone this week) told me she is not interested in signing the cards."

Umm.....?

Rational was that she is a single lady living by herself and does not want random people knowing her last name and where she works.

I'm sorry but is that crazy???
We decided to only use first names, but I let the word "paranoid" come out of my mouth at one point. I couldn't help it.

Random people, like the people that you do business with? How do they not know her last night and where she works already?

Exactly! I think she is afraid of someone other than the intended recipient looking at the card, taking note of her full name, looking her up in the phone book (you know she is the only Susan XXXX in town!) and harming her in some way.

I dunno, maybe she's had a stalker in the past or something.. who knows. But yes, ideally people we DO BUSINESS WITH won't be the ones murdering you in the middle of the night.

On the flip side, I am about 99% sure I just heard a coworker on the phone with someone, saying "What's that? You need sex? Just come see me." That caught me off guard.

You seem to have put some thought into the ideal murder situation.  Pehaps TAN is not such a safe haven after all.

I wonder what she puts on her business card.

I suppose she is afraid of being found on Google.  It is true that we have to deal with a considerable loss of privacy because of it.  I guess she Googles all her acquaintances and doesn't want the same thing to happen to her.

Mornin folks! Gonna get my cereal, then get busy. Attempt 2 to get the cat to the vet today. Yesterday, she KNEW something was up and hid somewhere as soon as I got the carrier out of storage. We never did see her until 4:00 at dinner time. Going to the farm to pick up the turkey today.

Somehow need to get two of the three colors on the walls so I can finish this marathon paitning project before Thursday.

Yoi and double yoi!

Hi TAN. I was out running (okay, mostly walking) and ran into this nice piglet who invited me home for dinner, and there was another piglet there, and it was the yummiest dinner ever and they were so much fun.

Haha, not even. Just has a great sleep, getting excited for a few things that I have coming up... life just feels good, today.

Though that would have made things even better... but I don't wish waking up at 5 because of someone else upon anyone.
