Happy Birthday Suzy and Kim!  I hope it's a good one.

Yeah, transition will be interesting but I want to see how the tent functions before I participate (hopefully).  I would love to be there for fellow MGers.

Maybe get to be the sunscreen girl?? Lather it onto Suzy and Kim

JOHN any interest in recording it for me ?

Nope, I do my own sunscreen in T.....the sunscreen people have rubber gloves on and slap about an inch thick coating on everyone from this special bucket...something about them rubbing you and then rubbing me....uh, I don't know.

Even John will tell you that your transition times would be a lot faster if you let them put the sunblock on for you!!!

Happy Birthday ladies!!!!!!

Love it, Linda!!!  You wear it so well!

Christina, I am so glad that you will be in the T tent!  You are my lucky charm!

Thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes.  I got a few workouts in and am off to have one of my favorite indulgences, a glazed maple bacon donut from Dynamo Donuts.

Yes, Linda, one per year.  It is the most incredibly deliciously, decadent, but horribly bad for me thing I put into my body and I get to have one per year.   And I love every crumb.  Innocent

Linda--You are so cute in that jacket! and don't listen to John.....

Birdy-- I knew someone would jump on that bandwagon, but I wasn't expecting it to be YOU!

Twin--yet another thing we have in common!  I love BACON!  Paul and I used to splurge on New Year's Day and split a Cinnabon, but this sounds wayyyyyy better.

My coach has a new nutritionist on his staff so he is having me log everything I eat and drink for 7 days so she can review it.  It includes normal daily eating as well as what you ingest for workouts.....it has been incredibly eye opening.....I have come to the conclusion that while I eat pretty decently, I basically eat all the time...

Also doing this sweat test after each workout.  No idea the feedback I will get on either, but if anyone wants to get a sense of what they put in their pie hole regularly it's a good exercise.  Although it sort of sucks during your birthday weekend....who eats 4 pieces of birthday cake in two days?

Ok, I was kinda getting excited about someday doing a race long enough someone would rub sunscreen on me, but your description was a real mood killer!  LOL

You guys rock.  Linda, you deserve that jacket.  Enjoy.

jelly belly-- cinnamon.  The spicy cinnamon are even better.

Erica- thank for the encouragement to keep going back to check on the IMMoo volunteer slots.  It was a mess for days but this morning there were tons of slots available for practically everything.  I got female transition tent in the morning (7:30-11) and athlete catcher in the afternoon/early pm (3:30-8pm). Super excited!

I  LOVED my transition women!! They made ALL THE DIFFERENCE in a long day. So, thanks in advance for doing that!! Oh, and my catcher was pretty awesome too. She took me to the front of the photo line, saying I was wobbly (which I wasn't, I don't think)!! Yay for volunteers!!

Happy birthday, Suzy and Kim!  I hope you guys are having a great, fun, relaxing day!  Despite the fact that a bacon doughnut sounds sooooo gross.  Undecided

Linda - that jacket suits you perfectly!  Lookin' good!

So, I'm jealous of everybody that will be involved with IMoo!  I wish I could be there, but can't because of the internship.  I will try to get Ryan to make a sweet sign though since he'll be volunteering!  He thinks this might be the year that he signs up for the race for 2012!  Scary!

I've been having some WEIRD workouts lately.  I've seen some odd people on my runs the last couple weeks, including a guy just walking around with a golf club (I sped up to pass him because I was honestly scared he would chase me with it) and a cop that had his car parked in the middle of the running path?  I saw a big ole' racoon on Saturday, too.  But my knee has been feeling great, so whatever!  While I was running today, I actually regretted getting rid of my HM bib because I feel like I could ramp up, but I know it was better that I didn't try to.

Bike fit tonight, then finishing this darn Purchase Agreement!  I will be done for the semester TWO WEEKS from tomorrow!

Hate to burst your bubble, but here is todays e-mail on volunteering for IM-Moo!  Beginning to think they are testing everybody's dedication to volunteering to help with this race!  Maybe they are trying to make volunteer sign-up harder than participating?

***IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ***

There was an error with 2011 Ironman Wisconsin registration system.  When the event was created many of the 2010 volunteers were inadvertently transferred with the tasks.  At this point it is impossible to tell who volunteered for 2011 or 2010.  Due to this error the event “2011 Ironman Wisconsin” has been deleted.  In order to volunteer for this year’s Ironman Wisconsin, you are required to log into our system and volunteer for a task and shift for the event “Ford Ironman Wisconsin 2011”.

I am very sorry for this inconvenience; I know that many of you have spent a great deal of time registering for your desired task.  I very much appreciate all of your efforts and do not wish to take up any more of your time during the day, so please see below for the schedule indicating when Ford Ironman Wisconsin 2011 volunteer opportunities will be available.

Happy Birthday Twins!!

Today is my 13th wedding anniversary.  LOL, we celebrated by talking with each other a total of about 15 minutes.  Crazy schedule lately.  At least we got to go out to dinner on Saturday night (and I got to eat my left overs tonight after t-ball practice!).

I am an equal opportunity jellybean eater.  I don't discriminate!

I hope everyone had a Great Easter weekend

Happy birthday to the Twins

Last Friday there was no wind so I couldn't pass up a lunch time ride and it was sure nice not to have to lean just to go straight.

Went on up to Alamosa, to visit the in-laws and was able to get in 14+mile run the farthest I have ran since my HIM in March 20th the elevation 4,000ft higher than Lamar. Other than the stinking cold I caught on Friday the run went well.

Sunday  traveled back home don't remember much since I slept the whole way and took it easy today just did some lining drills with my lab Otis.

hopefully I can kick cold enough for my Century Ride on Saturday. Still waiting for my new bike to arrive found out it is on back order must have picked the right one.

Went to the LBS to get a new saddle and my fit last night, and wow, I am glad I didn't bike in the afternoon!  I was on my bike for quite a while trying to find the right saddle.  I didn't bring my bike computer, but I probably put on 20-ish miles just testing.

Ended up with a Planet Bike Competition Anatomic Relief Saddle. http://ecom1.planetbike.com/5023.html  I tried a bunch and it was the clear winner.

Also, found out that I'm turning my knee in while I'm pedaling just BARELY and that's what is hurting my knee.  I have to focus on that for a while to make it habit, though they said the rest of my form was good.

Ryan surprised me by buying me a nice rear hydration system, too, which I cannot wait to test out!  I only had one bottle holder on my bike, so it ended up being less expensive to buy the system than to drill new holes in the bike to put one on the down tube.  It'll be great for the HIM!

I saw that yesterday afternoon on the iron distance board. Bummer.  Oh well.  If my shifts dont' get cleared great.  But at least this time I'll be online when it opens and can hopefully get the same slots again.
