I'm actually thinking of getting boots (for snowshoeing)

I've actually never worn Keens before. Any weird sizing quirks? I need to order them online...

Can I start today over?  Seriously?

I'm also missing my wedding rings.  Couldn't find them anywhere in the 45 minutes I looked.

*unhappy woof*

Yup. My day too. I did keep trying but eventually gave up. "Eventually" meaning now, at 11:30pm. Don't make that mistake! Call it a wash and do what you wish! If you can.

Sadly I am at work.  Or I would go back to bed.  I got a cold from my co-worker.  He is out sick after infecting everyone during our lab meeting yesterday.

::grumble grumble grumble::

That is one frustration with workplaces.  People feel like they shouldn't call in sick so they get everyone else sick. Sealed

BTW, I followed your blog in my newly aquired Google Reader and I love that you use Penzey's! I started getting my spices there when I lived in Omaha.  We don't have them in NM so I keep a list going for when I'm in Denver.

Seriously!  I get 3 sick days a year, and at least a day's worth goes to Dr. appointments that can't be scheduled during non-work hours.  There is nothing wrong with being sick and keeping your germs to yoruself at home, why is there a stigma over calling in sick?  And why do I only get 3 sick days a year?? Last winter I had to use vacation time to stay home and puke.  Not cool.  Rant over.

That was going to be my question.

BTW, after an extended hiatus from BT, I'm back! Hi everyone!!  I've been crazy busy lately, and there is no end in sight.  decided to stop working for a few and check in on my manatees.  Sorry to hear some are feeling a little down.  Mid-week and sickness (and losing wedding rings, yipes!) can do that to ya.

Right now I'm convincing myself to run today.  It's been almost a week.  So much for ramping up the weekly mileage.  And I missed a long run this weekend.  Good thing I still have 6 weeks til HM....uh, wait, that's not that long to go from 6 to 13.1 miles!

Welcome back!

6 weeks is  a good chunk of time. Just get running ... today! Go on now, get!

Yeah. That's rough. Luckily we accrue sick hours per pay period and they roll over to the next year but still, it's not an exceptional amount. Luckily I am rarely sick or even go to regular Dr. appointments etc. (I know, shame on me) I don't know how people with kids do it!

We accrue by pay period too. I think I'm up to around 400 hours of available sick time. It's gotten that high b/ c until this year I was never sick. This year I've had 3 colds. Don't know what's up with that! Stupid colds.

I think you win. I had to hula for like 25 minutes doing everything the Keen lady told me to. One of the things was a "booty bounce" where you bounce the hoop with your booty (as the name suggests.) And mind you this is on the front patio at work for everyone to see.

No way I could do the booty bounce without cutting the hoop in half, otherwise it would be called the scapula bounce and that just doesn't have the same ring to it! Plus you got to eat a fudgescle, that gives you extra points.

Yeah that's pretty rough, I'm like Salty they accrue I think the limit is 700 hours?  The only sick leave I've taken in 7 years was for a kidney surgery.  DW doesn't get sick/annual only PTO (paid time off) so being sick IS a vacation apparently Foot in mouth

Artemis - 2012-09-18 5:08 PM Dudes! I rode my bike today!!

Awesome!  No wrist issues?

Rode my trainer so I could sit up.  Still having wrist issues.  Got one last cortisone shot before surgery that doesn't seem to be working.

Sorry about the wrist - however coming into the off season could be a good time for surgery - shouldn't be long before you can run again....
