Sorry to hear that you won't be making your half marathon event in Texas.  Don't you have some great neighbor with a snow blower that can clean up your mess.  I have a 75+ year old to the east of my house and I do his front walk while I am out.  His family usually comes later in the day to finish the rest of it.

Oh come on the snow is awesome.  until it becomes a slushy, brown ugly mess.

No snow overnight here in Cleveland.... just rain, which froze and so everything is covered in a nice sheet of ice.   Temps are going up to 40 degrees today, so it'll be melted in no time.

Same here 76 deg and a few clouds here and there.

We still might make it. If my girl from Kansas City can dig out and get out of her neighborhood, and I can do the same, the highways look good. At least from the web cams on the DOT web sites... and awesome BTers have offered to pick up our packets if we miss the expo tomorrow. We'll see.

Maybe GB and I can get some really big mirrors and aim some sunshine your way.

A coworker brought in donuts today.   I normally don't eat them, but these things are insane. I just had one that was topped with whipped glaze and Oreo cookie crumbles, another was smothered in German chocolate, etc...  stupid good

The crazy thing is that the shop they bought them from is at the end of my street and I'd never even gone in to check them out.

i try to test out local shops/restaurants frequently - they are almost always fantastic.

I like to try out local joints as well, but being that I typically never eat donuts, it never occurred to me that someone might be making gourmet-ish donuts that go well beyond your typical ring of fat

It's a good food day here at work - quarterly staff meeting today, which means lunch was catered.  Lots of Caesar, Cobb, and Greek wraps with spinach salad 

I wanted to post in the single thread but I don't belong...

BUT, my wife get's flirted/hit on by more women than I do.  So not only do I have to compete with the guys, the girls too?

And on a couple occasions, the girl has asked for MY permission to hook up with the wife...  What do you say to that?  I'm pretty much - "more power to you if you can accomplish that".

See I don't get this.  Since when can you not post in a thread if you want to.  Has not being a girl ever stopped you from posting in questions for girls if you have a good answer?

You still feel like you're "competing" even though you're married?
Is this common?  

There are at least 2 women at work, that I know of,  that if I were out of the picture would be on my husband like white on rice.  I think it is funny as hell and regularly tease him about it. 

It's not "competing" per say.  BUT the way I look at it, I have to continue to be a "keeper".  I can't get complacent or let myself go.

It's important to make her feel beautiful and special and make her laugh and do all the things the potential "competition" will be doing!  I obviously have a leg up since I already have her.  But I also have to stay in the running for a good mate and not get COMPLETELY outclassed by someone.

I know I CAN.  But there are always a couple people that will say I don't belong.  And to be honest, sharing my opinion isn't that important SO, if I can avoid the few comments that I don't belong by just not sharing - good by me.

MAYBE it screws some people out of some good advice I could be sharing - but they can blame the people telling me to go away.

Bottom line is, the pros of sharing my opinion are small compared to the hassle of even ONE complainer.
