SOOO... I was in the middle of manually loading a TPX file as I have been doing for the past who knows how many months.  I accidentally selected Garmin instead of manual and my watched showed up.  I figured it was a glitch and hit list activities and to my surprise it did not lock up and listed all of my activitites.  It even let me upload them into my training log.

WOOOHOOO!  Hope its not a short term thing or a glitch that allowed me to do it.

THIS WORKS.  REALLY.  It came online last night.  I performed some limited testing this morning.  To have Garmin Auto-send workouts to your BT log:

1 - Make sure you have a Garmin Connect Account and Garmin Express Installed.

2 - In BT, go to Settings--> Training log --> Device Upload.  Click on the button to link your accounts.

3 - Any workout manually imported in Garmin Connect (TCX, FIT, GPX) will automatically get sent to BT along with any workouts Garmin Express gets from your device.

*Manually creating a workout on Garmin Connect will not sync with BT it HAS to be a manual file upload or from your device vie Express.

**From this mornings testing, workouts get sent to BT and parsed for display within a minute.  Though in the future, this may take longer.

Please report any issues or questions here.

Testing it right now. I will let you know.

One question- old workouts will still need to be manually loaded using communicator, right?

ETA: It worked for me within the time it took for me to click over to my training log!

This is NOT Communicator, it's an account on Garmin Connect with the Garmin Express software.  I will make a official FAQ once it works for everyone.

Thanks for the correction Ron - I misspoke!  Garmin Communicator, Garmin Express - sounds almost alike.  At least for the first two syllables . . .

Checked my log and I look like an all-star today! Then I realized all of my work outs for the past month have been duplicated. I deleted the extras but thought I would report it here, noticed another post with similar issues.

Mine did the same but only after I connected my watch to charge it. I think it pulled over all the previously non-uploaded workouts at that point. I haven't had any issues with "new" workouts since it went live this weekend, if that makes any sense.

If those 'old workouts' were on your Garmin device and NOT on Garmin Connect, AND you previously uploaded to BT via communicator or manually added them, they will duplicate.

I will have to note that....

That wasn't the case for me.  I already had my computers connected to Garmin Connect (and sync'd to TP and Strava) and they would have all uploaded to GC already after every workout.

Hmmm...I will have to research this.  As then I'm not sure why they are duplicating.

Yeah, i think that was my issue exactly. None of the new workouts have been duplicated and the sync is very quick! Lovin' it. THanks for getting this worked out Ron.

Ok, apparently it is in the Garmin Connect documentation that they send over several weeks of workouts upon linking accounts.  This would explain the duplicates if you already log on Garmin Connect.  My programmer said that this is beyond our control.  Sorry, if it is too much to delete, let me know and I will clean them up...just give me a date range.

Ok, so I was a past BT user. When I got my 910xt I started using Garmin Connect. I decided today that I want to use BT again. I linked my accounts and from what I can tell, it will load old workouts once you have a new workout to upload. I did a dummy workout--ran the watch for a few seconds. It uploaded to Garmin Express. I checked BT and it was there. However, how do I get the September workouts from Garmin over to BT? Doesn't look like they are showing up.
