Spokes - 2008-05-06 11:09 AM I'm thinking of quitting racing entirely.

Oh, and I'm serious, BTW.

Must be that time of the month again....

Yeah, just like I give up drinking after each time I get wasted.....

So - every Saturday morning, then?

At a minimum.....

I was just referring to the rocket fuel that is the sake bomb!

mmmmmmmmmmmm  sake bombs.....

My second place of residence is the patio table at Kona Grill.  20oz Kirans with 4 oz of warm sake OTS.....

It never fails. When you're sitting at your desk eating popcorn (or crackers or some other crumbly treat) and one falls on the floor, you WILL wheel over it with the office chair while backing up to see where it fell, crushing it into the carpet.

I wanted to lift today and do some abs at lunch, but I decided to follow my taper and go to the tri shop next to my office instead.  I need some bungee laces for my new kicks.....

So, I just wrote this....  Is it quote worthy?  I think it needs some refinement to "flow" better.  (regarding if triathlon ever gets easy)

"What I used to think was hard is now easy, what I'm doing now is still hard, someday, what I think is hard now, will be easy."

Huh?

THat's been one of the best things about working from home... if the conference calls get inane, I can do whatever I want and nobody will know.

So true.  I thought it was a law of office dynamics or something?

What are other "laws of office dynamics"?

The law of attraction - When you have 2 or 3 high impact projects, they will attract other projects to them so that your workload becomes nearly untenable for a few months.

Hey guys...been a busy day for me...

But, also, very cool.

I did my first "real" bike repair on the tri bike last night (re-did my front and rear derailleur cables) and it got me jonesing to actually build the road bike that I've wanted instead of buying it pre-built.

I always thought the "Law of Attraction" was that the hottest woman in the office is usually the closest friend to the sexual harassment person in HR.

NICE!!!

What I have found, is a bike is a very simple machine.  Once you get over your nerviousness of jumping in and getting your hands greasy, it's not that hard....

I thought about building a bike too.  I may buy my next tri bike pre-built (it's actually cheaper that way),  but then rob the components off my current bike and put them on a roadie.....
