Holy Crap!  I can't leave you guys alone for a minute without the cops getting called.  Sheesh.

Morning New TAN.

Although, I have to ask the question:

"Does anyone really read any of the previous pages of a TAN thread, or do we all just review the last 2 or 3 at most?"

Because, if no one ever goes back in time, why does it matter if we have a new TAN everyday?  Only thing I can come up with is continuity of discussion, and whole point of TAN is consistently changing the topic.

Sorry to bring "Something" to TAN.

Morning.

Please let the "Dear Moderators" thread fall off the planet... all it does is cause unwanted attention and stir the pot about TAN......again.

It's bad enough that we can't follow rules, we don't need to make threads about not following the rules, too.

You're welcome.

Ok folks - I can't sit around 24/7 and babysit all of you.  I have other things to do (really, I do, it just doesn't seem like I do).  Are we going to have to form a TAN death squad?  I'd hate to have to send Ryna(Guido)mite, MR2(Big Paulie)Tony and CubeFarm(Joey Knuckles)Gopher after one of our TANners.  Let's self police or the brute squad is gonna have to crack some heads. (That should get some Princesss Bride quotes going).

On a happier note - I ran a mile last night - at a fairly decent pace for me - and had absolutely no pain at all.  Definitely running the Dam to Dam 5k on 5/31.  Registered 5 minutes ago.  Orthopoedic Surgeon??  Bah.

My dog used to HATE the Dustbuster.  He would yelp and cower like you wouldn't believe.

I used to just walk up to him with my hand behind my back, look him in the eye, whip my open hand around and go "BUZZZZZZZZ" and watch him scurry.

I was a bad kid growing up.

This is actually pretty funny b/c we have the Tampa BT Mafia around here, with names like:
Whispers Calzone (betsy)
Tatas Rigatone (fastcat74)
Muscles Tortellini (Q)
Triggers Farfalle (klondike)
Scrappers Panceta (bunnyrunner)
Knuckles Fetuccini (22legs)
and
Fingers Sticchiu (me)

My dog hates the vacuum too.  If it isn't running or is facing away from her, she will try to come up from behind and bite it.  If you turn it towards her, she will run and jump up on the chair or couch.  My wife talked about getting a Roomba, but we decided that it would freak her out way too much for it to start up while neither of us were around.  I would feel bad if I came home and my dog had had a stroke because we were too lazy to vacuum ourselves.

It makes me laugh - then I feel bad for laughing at her.

Time for WWTD:

Garmin 305 or hard-side bike case?

I'll get more use out of the 305 over the course of the summer, but I will need to buy a bike case before I travel to Maryland in August.

Do I buy the bike case now and continue to live without the 305, or buy the 305 and figure on buying the bike case later in the summer?

OK - I need more info.

When is the trip to Maryland?

I assume you are flying, is that correct?

Will Maryland be your only trip with the bike this year?

Are you going to Maryland for a race, to visit someone you know, or for both?

Easy choice.  305.  You could probably find a case to borrow or rent.

The trip to Maryland is in early August and is the final century ride of my IMKY training which I'm going to ride as a celebration with my coach.

It's the only trip on my schedule so far but, if I have the bike case, I can take my bike with me when I have to travel for work.  So far, all of the other trips that I have planned (long rides and training camps) are drivable distance for me and I can put the bike in the back of the car.
