Since I had to take Sunday off due to some family commitements, I decided today that I should put in some extra mileage.  For some stupid reason, I thought 10 miles sounded like a good idea.  Mind you the farthest I had ever ran in my life before was 8 miles and that was when I was about 20.  Since I have been running again for about the past 5 years, 6 miles is my top run.

Well, I thought take it out slow and do the best you can.  The good news is that I made the ten miles....ok so I walked .4 miles from 8.5 to 8.9 because my dogs were barking pretty loud.  The bad news is my legs/feet are killing me and I think I killed what was left of my shoes but they were close to the end of their life anyway.  At any rate, I am now 19 miles into my 60 mile goal so if I have to take a couple days off to recover, I should still be fine.

Great that you got the 10 miles, sorry that you sacrificed your "dogs" for your fellow wolves. Being a girl, new shoes are ALWAYS a good thing! Just remember, you don't have to wear out your old shoes to get new ones.

I already have my next pair of shoes ready to go, I just really liked this pair and was holding on perhaps a little while longer than I should have.  I wear size 14s so I am pretty much always looking for shoes.  When I find ones I like, I will usually grab them knowing I will need them eventually.  My whole life, at least since I have been about 15, has been a struggle finding things that fit my feet.....running shoes, cycling shoes, waterski boots.  The internet has certainly helped that a lot.  Finding regular size 14 shoes really isn't that hard anymore.  I remember as a teenager going into a Footlocker and saying I want to see all your size 14s and they would bring out like 2 or 3 pairs for me to choose from.

so, hit another 7 k today. Felt pretty good but preoccupied in my mind about getting my wisdom teeth out tommorow, hope I can run Thursday.

30.26 out of 100 for me so far so I feel I am meeting with some success, hope everyone else feels the same.

So who has long runs planned for the weekend? I should be hitting a 13-14 mile run, depending on the legs and weather on Sunday and a 7-8 mile run for tonight, that will more than double my run miles for the month 8). Anti in who has what planned for the weekend?

Well went 16 k last weekend so, in my very scientific training meathod, that means I have to go more than 16 k this weekend. Think I will aim for between 18-19, try to do that one on Saturday then I dont have to feel guilty at thanksgiving dinner #1. Try to go long again on Monday for thanksgiving dinner #2.

This is an "easy" weekend for me this week...I have 5 tomorrow, 4 on Sat. and the long run of 8 on Sun.  The 5 and 4 are to make up for the last 3 days of much needed rain we have had here.  I am back up to a real "long" run next weekend (16  miles....that's virgin territory for me)

That IS a mean brick!

Remember to log your workouts AND update them in the spreadsheet (link is on p.3 of the thread)

I'm exactly up to percent where I should be given the month is 30% over ... where's everybody else at?
