Also the training log resize how the data is displayed and I am not sure I can control that easily. Here's a version that is more how it will look into your training log, not enough trucks for all the names hehe
Wow... that is fabulous, Robert (even though there's no pink on it ). Merci!! Edited by mila 2008-11-01 4:48 PM |

Hmmm... well, you know, I usually like to write about things that are sparkly and/or pink, but we'll see. You never know when inspiration might hit...

Mila that is AWESOME!!! Nice Job! LOL, thanks Katie. It's a rather useless talent unless you are employed by Hallmark. However, I am in high demand amongst my circle of friends to provide rhyming invitations for the various parties they throw... |

Pro 4216 Sous Mon Diadème | Subject: RE: Mother Truckers Team Thread - Nov USMC Challenge Baowolf - 2008-10-31 1:37 AM Nice bike Miles Myla for both 2007 and 2008. I am still building in all 3 events, well I was until the lake got down into the 40's and I had to walk across snow to get to the water. When I started worrying whether my core body temp would dorp below critical before I got back to shore, the motivation started dropping off on the swim practice. So bike and run focused for me, mostly run untill that mary. That is going to be long isn't it.... Oh well at least it won't have 8k feet in climb like that evil trail run. What bike are you ridin Myla? Hopefuly I can get a swim thing going again before spring. I am building a place for a swimspa in my home. The contractors in this part of the world make snails look reallly fast. 5 months after starting the process.... we have a slab and 4 walls. I'm hoping that in November they get the roof put on. Then in December, maybe do the wiring. January is probaly good for 1 coat of paint. I will keep yall posted. Rain forcast for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.. how do the clouds know when the weekend is. (Sunny all week and then rain all weekend every week.) DOH! That's so frustrating when the weather doesn't get the memo about your training plans . Good luck with the contractors. As for the bike miles... I'm a cyclist at heart... but I don't really love group rides... I'm weird like that. I really believe that you can view the world at the perfect speed from atop a bicycle and a recent century cofirmed that for me (I blogged about it in my non-BT blog). The problem with group rides, for me, is that you spend so much time trying to pay attention to signals and pacing, etc. that you don't get the same experience you do when you're out alone or with just a few people. My pretty road bike is a Trek WSD 2.1. It has pink accessories (bar tape, fuel box, saddle, pedals, bottle cages) and Ultegra components. I threw some carbon stryke aerobars on it just for giggles. I also have a really crappy hot pink mtb that's fun for cruisin' and the occasional mtb ride. Within the next few weeks, if all goes as planned, I will be receiving a "demo" TT bike to ride and review. I will want to buy it. I will get a huge discount but it will still be more than I can afford so I'll pout quite a bit. If you would like to contribute to the Mila Bike Fund, just lemme know. I take cash, checks and Paypal... hee hee . It will be black and pink and white... carbon... SRAM Red components... Zipps... *sigh*. |

Elite 5316 Alturas, California | Subject: RE: Mother Truckers Team Thread - Nov USMC Challenge Opening day, 61 mile bike ride, 45-50 F, 20 mph winds, started raining 1 tenth of a mile from my house. Feet went numb about 1 hour into it. Man that took the wind out of my sails. Had to take a hot bath and get some warm soup into me to get stuff unnumb and core temp back up. I prudently decided to not turn it into a brick today. Oh well rain forcast for again tomorrow, we see what happens. Oh for Halloween I wore my wetsuit, swim cap etc... |

Expert 919 Greenville, SC | Subject: RE: Mother Truckers Team Thread - Nov USMC Challenge Good morning team, On top of having jetlag and waking up this morning at around six, I just realized that DST ended too, so I woke up at five. ARRRRGGGHHH. Well, but I am glad this is such a chatty team, so I had at least something to read. Yesterday I did some Yoga and a run. Haven't decided quite yet, what I want to do today, but swimming sounds good. We'll see. Have a great day. |

I will try refrain from telling you that here it is sunny and 74 and I'm wearing shorts & flip flops. Oops. |

My daughter was a triathlete for Halloween last year. She wore bike shirts and a dri-fit shirt, running shoes, swim cap and goggles, a race belt/number (so of course I bodymarked her) and a SC HIM medal. She used a transition bag for her loot. I loved that she thought of it on her own and was excited about it. Sounds like some tough biking conditions. I am OK with the wind but when it's cold and you throw in the rain that can make it start to feel miserable. Good call on bailing on the run so you could warm up, methinks. |
