Champion 7821 Brooklyn, NY | Subject: RE: Team Lincoln - Stick to the Plan! Eesh--sorry--I'm a little late to this party. I'm Jonah. This is my third year of tris, I'm scheduled for IM70.3 Rhode Island in July as my A race, and a few other things along the way. Bad news is, about a week ago, I reinjured my calf, an injury that bothered me all last year and which I thought was healed, with the help of PT and my ortho. So, running's out for the moment. I had a half-mary in DC that I'm going to have to drop out of in March. So, I've re-jiggered my goals to include more biking and swimming and added some strength goals to make up for the lack of running. Edited by jmk-brooklyn 2009-02-08 10:07 PM |

Pro 4608 Brooklyn, NY | Subject: RE: Team Lincoln - Stick to the Plan! Got in my swim and strength today, but not easily. My motivation was dead so I procrastinated forever, then finally headed into the city only to find out there was a pump problem and the pool was closed. I stood there for a moment and debated going back to Brooklyn and just forgetting it, but I had a swim time trial and strength training on the schedule and knew if I didn't do it, my coach would have to adjust the whole week. So I got on the train and went to another gym location uptown and did the swim and strength. It took far longer than I was planning, but it felt good to stick to the plan for once! |

LazyMarathoner - 2009-02-08 7:13 AM Well I survived my inaugural ride on the new tri bike and my first ride since last fall. I rode close to 1.5 hours to get a feel for the bike and practice being in aero. I have to say it was a lot of fun, although a little scary. Little by little I'll get it back. Glad the ride went well Kristin! |

Pro 4608 Brooklyn, NY | Subject: RE: Team Lincoln - Stick to the Plan! I'm heading into the city for a run TT. I could do it on the treadmill, but my former daily run was along the Hudson River where there is a great path and it's long, straight and flat so it is perfect for a time trial. I'm nervous! LOL. It's just three miles to see what I'm capable of. Should be fun. I'm pairing it with a trip to the Tribeca Bed Bath and Beyond. I have to make all visits to the city worthwhile I also have a bike workout on tap for this afternoon. |

Master 2005 Silverton, Oregon | Subject: RE: Team Lincoln - Stick to the Plan! Hi everyone! Nice training going on here!!! I didn't train at all this weekend. Between the 14 hours driving, tax preparation, and family drama, I just didn't get it done. I did get in a 6.5 mile run and 14.4 mile bike yesterday, so I'm back at it. I've got some make up work to do now though so it's gonna be a challenge. |

Master 1567 Kauai, Hawaii | Subject: RE: Team Lincoln - Stick to the Plan! Went to the track since my son is home with a cold from school, I had him ride is tricycle while I ran. I had to keep back tracking to keep him in the outer lane away from the other runners. He went around 6 times! A little over 1.5 miles. This is my son who had a infant stroke and wears above the knee braces to walk, I,m so proud of him. He had so much fun too. I am plugging away too, between work and sick kids this challenge is really starting to be a challenge for me, I'll get there! |

Master 2201 Elgin, | Subject: RE: Team Lincoln - Stick to the Plan! Took the day off and went snowboarding today. This doesn't help with my goals, but I had a blast. Decided I should have waited a few more days though, since this chest thing I have going still isn't kicked. I am feeling much better, but it still hurts to do anything that requires higher heart rates and heavy breathing. I have a lot of ground to try and make up. Wish me luck. |
