Subject: RE: IM Canada watching threadThanks for the support everyone... I think this was the hardest thing I've done and for a couple of hours thought I was going to DNF. Started cramping every hill after mile 47, then started puking so couldn't take in water/nutrition the rest of the bike. I felt so awful and my legs had nothing in them. My mind was gone and all I wanted to do was lay in the shade but there was none and no aid station. I had to walk up some of the hills otherwise my legs would cramp very badly. I didn't pee for about 7 hours and was dehydrated. I pulled myself out of the darkest place I've ever been racing and was able to finish the bike within the cut off and that I'm proud. Run went well in a relative way...ran a lot PBed the run. I knew I could PB if I ran hard last three miles and I did with about 11 m/m and passed a lot of people no one else of was running. This was my victory...the course did not beat me. This was very difficult for me and not what I expected but I'm happy with my mental fortitude. Edited by KathyG 2009-08-31 3:01 AM
