MDHillSlug - 2009-12-04 11:18 AM Hi Elves,

I did a walk/run workout this morning; it's not a challenge event, but it's getting me that much closer to being able to run again. It's sooo hard to be patient!

Can I have an Amen sister - hopefully I can start back next week...

Chezz - 2009-12-04 10:15 AM

Hey Evil Elves!

Looks like I'm the newbie here.  My name is Gerardo - friends call me Chezz.  I am originally from Guatemala, and moved to NC almost 3 years ago.  Took up running with my wife and finished this year with 3 half marathons.  I joined a running group and that turned my training into a whole different level.

I'm new to tri, and will do my first sprint next year, although I am so siked that I have the whole season already planned!! (i think  Wink)  I do not want to drown, so my focus will be on swimming and trying to lose some weight.  Found the site just recently and that was exactly what I needed, challenges, make some friends and people that will help push myself.  My beautiful wife had to be sidelined due to a foot injury so my running was really affected.

Looking foreward to chip in so our team wins this month!

Cheers

Hey Chezz,Wecome to BT & our team. Don't let us down!!!We are counting on YOU.Sounds sort of ominous, huh? Just kidding, hope you reach your goals.

Nice job!  I'll be on track after I ride my bike tomorrow.

Sounds like a bike ride might be safer. the rabid, hungry animals might not e able to catch you!!!!

Ha ha!!!  I did ride my bike through the crazy fox area the other day and had visions of Cujo jumping out of the bushes and chase me down!  I going to have nightmares now!

Cujo ?

Got a short little run in today.  I pushed the baby in the running stroller.  I ran fast for a training run!  Do I have something to prove by running fast while pushing a stroller????  I need to slow down!!!!  On second thought......maybe it had something to do with the sign stating that a mountain lion has been prowling around on the trail.  I, honestly, wasn't worried about it.  I'm more worried about the rabid foxes that have been biting people on my other running route.  I've been avoiding that area!

We have mtn lions here too so I always run with my dog.  Don't know what either of us will do if we ever see a mtn lion tho   Unfortunately my dog can outrun me!

Did a nice, easy 30 min on the bike trainer. I'm pretty sore from yesterday's run... it's the longest I've gone since September, so I'm a little out of practice. I'm off work today, so I had lots of things to do on the honey-do list. I'm hoping to do a 45 min trainer ride Sunday in front of the Eagles game (Go Birds!) and that will put me right on track for this month's goals. My brother and his kids are coming for a visit this weekend and my girls have a gymnastics show tomorrow. That's my exciting weekend. Happy Friday everyone!

Did another Jorge bike plan ride today - the optional z2-z3 ride, but we rode longer and I worked harder than that so it should count double

Hello Evil-Teamies! I had a slow start to the month this week, but I got out today for a 4-miler and a nice little ST session. I'm a little behind on my running goal at the moment, but I'll be able to make it up. Tomorrow is my first ever 8-miler and I'll be doing a couple extra miles throughout next week as pennance for this past week.

For everyone who's nursing illness/injury, I'm sending my strongest healing vibes your way. Get well soon! I hope everyone's having a nice weekend

Good evening Elves! I got my 8-miler done today with an extra .4 as pennance for my slackishness earlier this week. My splits were almost dead even, with just an extra 5 seconds or so on the second loop of my run.

Have a nice Sunday evening everyone!

Well challenge participants, the first six days of the Du-December challenge are in the books and here is how the results so far look:

In the lead is the:

Vixens Revisited with 18.6% of goal met (19% of the month is already gone...)

The Vixens also lead in the secondary, yet still important post count contest...

Here are the full results

18.6% Vixens Revisted
14.7% Frostbite Force
13.0% Evil Elves
12.0% Christmas Cookies

Ya'll keep up the good work - Team leaders, let me know about injuries, etc. so that adjustments can be made if necessary.
