Would like to make a small suggestion. Add a cap on the number of points one can receive a day for activity. After just two days there are some that are pulling way ahead. Maybe a little discouraging for any noobs or short distance athletes.

It's 1 point for the day if you have 7 servings of fruits & vegetables that day.  Lots of us made that mistake yesterday!  (self included)

Me too!  So if we don't have 7 servings for the day, we enter zero, correct?

I did manage to go an entire day without diet coke.  This is a huge accomplishment for me! (patting self on back)

Of course I made up for it yesterday by drinking an entire 2 liter bottle.

Thus may be a dumb question, but what is a "serving size"  for veggies?  For example I usually will eat a bag of mixed greens....according to the package, 5 cups=1 serving and the bag has 1.5 servings.  So do I get 1.5 veggie points since that's the serving size or 7.5 since I'm eating 7.5 cups of veggies?

I would probably go with the info on the package.  If it says "contains 4 servings"then it's whatever the package says.  We get 1 point per 7 servings of fruits & veggies though, so that is a point a day if you eat 7 servings daily.

The way Dee set up the spreadsheet you log the total number of servings you had on the sheet, it calculates your points from there.  Don't take a 0 on the day.  If you had 4 or 5 just log those.  It won't give a point value until after the 7 from what I see.

Nope. Put in how many you had.... Once you get to 7 total (for the week), you'll get one point.

It's a cumulative kinda thing.

Yes, Judi's correct.

I set up it so that someone who "fails" to eat fruits/veggies one day can still make it up the next.

For example:
Someone who eats 3 servings of fruits/veggies every day for the entire week gets 3 pts. (21 servings total / 7 = 3 pts)

But someone who eats 21 servings of fruits/veggies on ONE day of the week, can also get 3 pts. (21/7=3)*

(*They'd probably have an upset stomach the next day, too.... )

Well, I didn't quite get as long of a ride as I wanted, but at least I got my water in again.  And I avoided the junk food - I avoided the buttery, delicious movie popcorn when we took the kids to see Tangled and I avoided all the typical snacks watching football.  And it was a LONG day of football for me...  but I won 2nd place for the season in my pool!!!

1 point for every 7 fruits and veggies... They don't have to be all in one day but of course the whole point of the challenge is to eat better and train so the more you eat every day the better... coming from me who's at a whopping 4 servings total

me too on the fruits and veg

i'm really surprised on the sugar/junk/soda ... what's working for me so far is one day on, one day off. admittedly i stayed up 'til midnight just so i could have pop tarts the 'next' day, but whatever and i'm not gorging myself the on days, either.

of course it's only jan 3 ...
