1)  If this is your first time logging in, try [email protected] or the user name. (as that is the e-mail address it was originally set-up)

Try FireFox, it's a free web download.

Otherwise... you can always post here and one of us can put it in

I got my goals in. Sad though they are. I had to go over the 10% rule because I didn't run AT ALL in September.

I totally forgot about the 10% rule.  However, if I set my goals at 10% I won't reach the volume that I need to in October.  My plan volume is 90 miles (so I lowered to 80).  I'm building for a 1/2 with the possibility of a full in January (so this is a peak month for me).  I know "possibility" of full, I should have that figured out by now.  But really I'm waiting for either some cash to fall into my hands or airline tickets to drop - of which they just went back up $120

I decided to go with sessions, since I more likely than anything to skip a run - at least this way I will do a run even if it's not the right length or whatever.     I am hoping for compliance, but I made the foolish mistake of scheduling a weekend trip to visit a girlfriend right in the middle of the month. That's the way to plan ahead for a half marathon!    I am going to make an effort to run at least once while I am away.

Just a tip:  If you have a google account, and don't want to sign in/out to access the spreadsheet, you can invite yourself as an editor.  Just click on the "Share" button and put in your google-affiliated e-mail address.   Then you will have access through your own Google Docs menu.

Going to try and stick with Pfizinger's marathon plan for January. It worked good for my 50K.

I've posted my goal for the Southeast.  I too posted more than 10% because my running this month has been pitiful, and I have a 10K at the end of the month which will count for 20% of my goal.

Andy,  I have been doing the 3- short, 2 med and 1 long run since August 1....started out with a little and its amazing how far I have come in just a short time.   All paces are easy, the goal is volume from frequency.

Yeah, when I saw that plan, I thought that it would work well for me.  Also, if life gets in the way, as it does sometimes, then I won't feel bad about missing a workout  5/6 > 2/3!  So  far I am going with 1 1/2mile, 3 mile, 4 1/2 mile...  I just have to focus on going slow on the longest and shortest runs...  the middle length, I go harder, still doing a run/walk but doing a 7:3 run/walk now and reducing that down a bit each week.  Next week is 8/2's....  when I get 3 sets done and can still do a bit more at the end at a specific ratio, I inch it up a bit.  Hopefully that will bring what little speed I had back before next June

Back when I started in early august I was at similar if not shorter runs w/walk breaks.   Go to the McMillan website and get your paces...the key is to run the recover runs at recover pace, it feels ridiculous but the only way you can run this frequent is to slow down.    This week I am up to 20 min on the recovery runs, 40 minutes on the easy runs and 75-80 min on the long run.    I only take walk breaks on the longer runs.    Keep me posted on how your doing.    Speed will come, just be patient, or at least it better.  I buried myself two years ago trying to qualify for Boston...I am starting all over.

1)  If this is your first time logging in, try [email protected] or the user name. (as that is the e-mail address it was originally set-up)

2) You might need to try a different web browser.  IE isn't always operable w/ google docs.  (or at least not for me on my work machine)
Try FireFox, it's a free web download.

Otherwise... you can always post here and one of us can put it in

Thanks for the info - I was wondering if someone had some suggestions for her to try!

Thanks a bunch, guys! If all else fails, I'll just post to have you input it.  I'll just watch everyone's goals here to get the feel of what the expectations are.

ETA: It keeps asking me to confirm a phone number or answer a security question! Trying to confirm my identity. ARRGH.

I got the ok to start running again, this challenge is perfect timing.  Since I'm starting from zero I'll go for 16 sessions for the month.

Edited to add: I'll be on the Canada team.

Look down and to the left  I mean right (oops) a few lines and you will see a place to click and skip that step.  (I get that all the time when I try to access at work).
