Here's the teams that I'm currently counting. I put them together from the previous posts. Let me know if I'm close, the captains are off, or the names are wrong/missing.

Florida Force (DRM)
Mid-Atlantic Monster Milers (Daremo)
Great Lakes (Mid-West) Team (StarGazer)
West Coast (Pirate Girl)
New England (MaTriMom)
Crazy Canucks (CalgaryRunner)
Team Kansas (Speedball)

Good for Fl Force. Where are you playing?

Don

Thanks.

I'm a Floridian. My hometown is St. Petersburg and the favorite place that I've been stationed is Gainesville. Besides, I can't quite figure out where Kentucky classifies regionally. I'm in the Louisville Metro area and it's nothing like the South here. But, I don't think I can call it mid-west, although Ohio and Indiana and just a few miles from me.

OK, in the swim challenges I kept whining about needing to spend time on my running so I guess I'd better sign up for this one now. Another crazy canuck here. In an effort to improve my running I've entered a 1/2 marathon in May and joined a group training for it. Their schedule allows for a range of training mileages but I'm supposed to be doing at least 70km in February, possibly a lot more. Since this is unknown territory for me I'll just pledge the minimum for now. I'll PM Calgaryrunner too.

I want in on the Florida team but...

My coach is re-arranging my training schedule due to some upcoming events and I don't know what it’s going to look like until a little later this week.

Is it OK if I give my goal, once I get my schedule?

    Thanks,

    Brent

Ps. I completed my swim goal for the month!

piggpen35 - 2006-01-31 12:40 PM So what do the loosers teams that do not win have to do this time?

In the original BT Challenge we each pledged a distance AND a dollar amount (small, like $5-$20). The winning team got to choose a charity to which the losing teams had to donate their pledge. I think the winners donated half of their pledge. I really liked that and would like to put forward that we do the same with this challenge.

Should this option be found acceptable, to allow for simplicity in case there are other teams besides the Midwest/Great Lakes that actually make their goal, I'd like to suggest that the Team Captains be the ones to choose the charity.

One criteria was that the charity had to accept on-line donations, there may have been others.

Ok, I'm going to start a West Coast team thread because we only have 3 people and people keep getting stolen from our region!

Hey! We didn't steal anybody! They asked to play with us!
