I normally run in the morning, but we were in the 30s with 15-25mph sustained winds (making feel like the 20s) and I don't have clothing to handle that kind of weather, so I slept in.  Loved the sleeping in part, but was a bit annoyed b/c it put me behind in my mileage.  So, after work I went for my run.  If it weren't for this challenge I probably would have blown it off, so yay for this challenge

Ann-Marie

I *heart* your puppy avatar! So cute!

Thanks.  He doesn't look anything like that anymore, but i just loved how cute he was!

Got up at the crack of arse and met my friend at the gym at 5am. It was empty! I'm 2 sessions in and tomorrow I'm going snowshoeing for the 1st time. I managed to find a free demo at the Ski area, they're also doing some trail tours. Totally scored.

I'm in a bad mood.  I feel sorry for my friends that agreed to ride with me in the morning.

I missed my scheduled run.  Deep breath.  I get to run again on Sunday.

.... Let's see - my name is Bill and I have been around her for a while now.

Last month I was in a streak challenge that saw me miss 3 days from Thanksgiving to New Years so that was good for my base. ....

What? You went streaking last month? And it lasted THREE DAYS? Oh. My.

Nooooo!!!!!  He streaked for 36 days!!!!! And I streaked for 38 days!!!! Tongue out

I was a streaker, too! I missed the last three days.

I'm back!! I still have some residual crud, but I decided to run this afternoon anyway, and it was fantastic! 3.4 miles. I'm way behind, however, so I'm probably going to have to streak the rest of this month to make my 100 miles.

Sorry you had a rough day. I hope the ride tomorrow lifts your spirits. And if it doesn't, there's always the run on Sunday.

All this talk about streaking has got me wondering if I am on the right site!! Makes me wonder if I should go streaking!!

Added another 6 miles to the totals, 1 mile on Thursday and 5 today.  Looking forward to the 10 mile run on Sunday!

Team Crowie! We need to pull together and take the lead. My part seems like I am slacking but I am on track to complete my goal. My next run is planned for tomorrow.

We can do it!

How did you like snow shoeing? I love it because I have terrible balance that prevents me from excelling at other winter sports including but not limited to: skating, skiing, snowboarding, walking on/near patches of ice without crampons...

Bill - I thought of you and the outdoor winter training challenge today... while I was on my bike in spring like conditions today!!! I would have gotten no points, but I would give up points for the whole season for rides like today.

No snow, no ice, around +8c plus windchill... great day for a ride!

My mood is much improved today!  I went on an absolutely beautiful, sunshiny and warm bike ride on my new tri bike today.  It was my new bike's first ride on the road.  She's fast!  I can't wait to really open her up and see what she can do!  I can't believe I was taking it easy today!  Whoooo weeeee!

It has been unseasonably beautiful around here, too.  Sunshine at this time of year is unheard of in these parts.

Awesome! That's how I felt when I first took mine out. Then I was frightened about how fast I felt like I was going and got worried I was going to hit a rock or a crack or sneeze. lol Now it's safely on my trainer.
