Don't leave out Muncie! I'm doing the Endurathon (Muncie) and Deer Creek. Maybe the Greater Buckeye. But I'm still debating about doing IMKY.

climbin5414 - 2007-09-06 12:58 PM Not signed up yet.. still deciding between the 5430 Long Distance and the Redman in Oklahoma. Anyone got a preference?

Doing the full at Redman in 2 weeks. Probably going to do the 1/2 next year for my A race. I'm very impressed so far with the whole race organization.

I wanted to do the Half down there this year but fell victim to a hip injury. You'll have to let me know how it goes down there!

If any of you doing a 1/2 in 2008 want to form some kind of keep-in-touch group or put your names on each others' friends lists, just say so here. Or we can just keep this thread going to give each other encouragement!!

My wife and I are planning on the IMFL 70.3 - it will be her glorious return after the birth of our 2nd son- Luke!

She is already starting to build a base- 2 mos after birth, with the greatest surprise being her almost intact swimming stamina - unbelievable!

First- IMWI in 48 hrs for me!

I'm debating on doing Barb's Race (Vineman). I've got 2 months to decide. I'd love a support group though!

Anyone set up any preparation races for their 1/2 IMs yet? I am going to do the Long Branch Half Marathon in May, and my coach has me doing a 1/2 in November of this year. She wants me to do the training while I am in good shape. Or at least she thinks I am in good shape!!

Sign me up as well. Just finished my 2007 season with an olympic yesterday. Will probably begin with base building in mid to late Feb in prep for an August 1/2.

I am I am!!! I'll definetly be at Musselman and Timberman, possible Mooseman hopefully Longhorn, but more hopefully Halfmax (through qualification, not just paying my way) and of course the dream is Clearwater...here's to hoping!!

Anxiously awaiting October 1st and November 1st so I can spend hundreds of dollars registering for these bad boys.

I was going to do Musselman, but I signed up for Newfoundland and now I am wondering if I made the wrong decision. I think the support from crowds at Musselman is great!

I thought that the Greater Buckeye is the Deer Creek tri? Or are you saying that you will be completing the Toyota Challege at Deercreek (Oly and Sprints) and the Greater Buckeye as your HIM?

Just wondering because I am trying to plan which HIM in the area to train for next year and the options are a little slim. Lucky for you being in upper Indy you can get to Steelhead or Racine without a ton of travel time.

Doing my first in about a 8 days. I'm trying to figure out which one's to do next season. I want to do at least 2. Any suggestions? I'm from Oklahoma....is there anything besides Redman close?

Looking at Spirit of Racine (mid July??) but looking for something earlier April/May and if that goes well, a second in August/September.

I'm curious of the opinions in the community as to the desireability of competing in a sanctioned 70.3 event vs. a distant-equivalent (non-sanctioned) event. I presume the Ironman branding increases the entry fee a bit...
