Patience, glasshoppah. I paid my penance in '07 and '08. I'm reaping my benefits now. Edited by bcart1991 2009-09-30 2:59 PM |

The funny thing is that I was leaving to buy HIM a burrito at Chipotle! His truck only has a little ding ding. He'll get it thrown in with all the hail damage he got a few months ago. My back bumper is really scratched up Good thing I only see cars as a means of transportation and not a trophy. |

I recall when I did martial arts we didn't really learn much new stuff over the years, just perfected what we learned in the early years. We did do a lot more work with different weapons as we got into the upper belts. Oh and tumbling, we worked on flips and handsprings and such. SIgh I miss those years. I should see if I can find a place in Chicago that still teaches that style. |

I met with my surgeon and he wants me to have surgery in the next two weeks, so there will be no fall marathons for me. I can defer one of them to next year, but not the other. I'm depressed. |

At least we'll probably run 2 miles before starting, so I'll still get a run into today. I started with this class 2 years ago to help get into shape, but I didn't start taking it seriously until around April of this year. This class tonight will be a ton of tumbling and conditioning without much new material. The part I fear the most is my 290 pound frame trying to do a cartwheel. I just pray there are no cameras. Kamas are fun... Just have him work out in a t-shirt that way the Gi won't get torn :P I don't know how to apply the sarc font, so experimenting with that one. Edited by zwest 2009-10-01 10:03 AM |
