Me too! I'm anxious for March to get here I've decided that I'm going to at least one destination race every year from now on. Already slating the Bermuda Marathon for next year. I lived there for a couple of years (89-91) when I was in the Navy. I don't remember all that much, because I got to know the rum all too well (God bless Gosling's Black Seal!), hehe, but I do remember that it is absolutely beautiful there; and that I get an allergic reaction to Oleander. I wish I was into golf when I was there, but I never went even once. I did a TON of snorkeling and free diving on the reefs though. That was, by far, my favorite thing to do (other than drink). Swizzle Inn; awesome place for lunch and 8 or so drinks. I don't snorkle or dive, but loved watching the parrot fish down at the docks while walking along having my morning coffee. Beautiful place. Giggity. That is my local bar and a few BTers have been there and are quite fond of it When I first read the name, I thought it was going to be one them fine "ranches" on the outskirts of Vegas. Oh no nothing seedy like that just great local bar.

Oh man, I had more than a few dangerously drunken nights there I don't know if it's the same as it was 20+ years ago, but Front Street used to be nothing but bars feeding off of the cruise ships. As young, single, sailors we were hanging out there most every weekend night - especially when a new cruise ship would pull in And can't forget good food at the Hog Penny Inn. |
