Now I just have to go get my youngest from preschool and then get to the gym for a little run...

on the treadmill... cause I am afraid of what little manhood I have freezing and snapping off.

Bah, I came in early hoping to get out of here at 1. But of course, everyone waits til the last minute and god forbid the week end without me sending out 1,000 holiday e-cards for which I won't have the directions until noon...awesome.

This job effing sucks.

freelancer.com and elance.com

you writes good, doesn't you?

Yeah, but I've got no proof - all the stuff I've worked on at work is either at my old company or can't be given out from here (portions of proposals and such).

You could always write a mock proposal.  Change some names... use TAN as the company name.

Glad to hear you have standards

I had pizza last night as well. But not the fun kind. The kind with mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, green peppers and banana peppers and cheese.

Yeah, well it was about time for some standards. Any standards, really.

Your kind of pizza is great! Things are wonderful here (compared to Jakarta) but not easy as I'm starting all over again ... I was in a state where I would have been happy for any kind of pizza, yours or mine.

As for the freelancing ... samples don't have to be formal or have been published as long as they're well-written. An interesting blog entry? A race report? A good cover letter? Shoot, take 20 minutes to write a 400-500 word response to a current events piece. Got anything interesting left from school?

Or use my trick ... once you place a bid on a project, it's customary to PM the proposer with more details like your resume. My trick is to include in the PM the proposer's proposal, proofread/edited/rewritten.

If you want it, you can make it work. Just take a look at the phrasing of most of the bids. "Plz hire me I'm MBA from university."

Yeah, I have crap from grad school that I suppose I could cut down (they're all really long papers). Wish I had my answers to the Comprehensive Exam - I b*tchsmacked that test (all written). Earned Distinction on it.

I 'm good SEO.and link building.Page 1 in google search is very easy.Im good write article, because I'm publiser in paid to reviews.if you need my service please PM me.THX

Srsly. 90% of the bids are like this. There are always a few (very few) that stand out, and you'll want to look closely at the price they're bidding and turnaround time.  Then slightly underbid them.

Some nice paragraphs or a page or two from grad work will definitely suffice as a sample.

Better, but not completely.  Took the last dose of antibiotics this morning, so hopefully that clears it up.  Otherwise, I'm back in the clinic on Monday.

Hope the job app goes well!!

But otherwise just dandy, Corp x-mas party tonight. Should be fun?
