Yes ... feel free to flog me as necessary. I'm a little chilly, I think I may go put on a sweater And they have In-N-Out Burger!... However, I'll take the cold, the heat, and hurricanes... you keep the Earthquakes! Been through a few (a 7.0 & 6.8 in the Hi-Desert & Palm Springs area)...Nope, you can have it! No warning, just shake your fillings loose! But a double-double, with cheese... like heaven! I've learnt that Tucson has 3 In-N-Out Burgers. And it is earm. And no earthquakes that I know of. Nor hurricanes I believe. Just saying Tru Dat.... & it's purrtttyyy there too! Looked into Tucson, Flagstaff & a few other destinations out that way several years ago. We were looking at relocating closer to my wife's family is Southern California, without moving to So. Cal. Then I came to my senses... Ha! not really, wife had back surgery and that changes many things at that time. Maybe in 6+ years when I am pension eligible. |

Veteran 204![]() ![]() | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED!Happy Monday morning to you all! Looks like everyone had a pretty sucessful weekend. A few first of the season workouts for some of us. For me it was getting back into the saddle again. The bike had been neglect since August...that was the last tri of last years season. Besides the feet going numb from the cold it felt good. Looking forward to another good week of workouts. |

Does anyone have suggestions for where we might find one that will not set up back to much? The fluid trainers are smoother than mag trainers... and both are quieter than the wind trainer. Craigslist is great... just gotta keep an eye out. A new fluid will set ya back 2-300. |

Here's a speed workout for everyone, I'm going to switch up the types as we go along so you can get an idea of what each type of workout should be like... Speed WO (1700 or 2200)For the fast, try to keep the stroke count low... you don't swim fast by pulling fast you swim fast by pulling strong. Difference between my all out sprint turn over and 1 mile turn over is around 1-2 strokes per length. gavisk - 2010-01-11 9:47 AM Wonder where Eric is this morning. Today is my off day but I think I may swim today to get an extra swim work out in this week. Below is the work out I was going to follow? Should I scrap this one and follow yours?

Pro 4824![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Houston | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED!If you have seen Ken's recent log you'll know I am not going to do the half. We have great friends who now live in CT, he is one of Ken's best friends and she is one of mine. She was present at the birth of my last two children and I was there when her daughter was born (we are both homebirthers), our children are great friends. Stephanie is pregnant with #4 and due in March but has received news that this baby will not be able to live outside the womb. Her husband is flying some friends to be with her in CT next weekend. We will do a Mother's Blessing for her (we have all done these for each other in the past) but of course this one will be more difficult. They have chosen to continue carrying the child until God decides when she should be born. We will all be celebrating Amelia Rose and grieving her at the same time. I would appreciate any thoughts and or prayers you could send our way. This won't be easy. I don't like being away from Ken and my own children and obviously I will miss the half but I know my place is with her, there will be other halfs. So if you guys could keep track of Ken and help him maintain his sanity while I am gone and check on him after the race I would really appreciate it. |

Expert 668![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Lancaster, PA | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED!My usual Monday morning routine is getting up at 6 AM then heading down stairs to make coffee and let the dogs out. I make my way up stairs to get the boys ready for school and by the time they leave, I have already had three to four cups of coffee. I made myself an egg sandwich this morning (1 whole egg and about seven egg whites on a 9 grain bread). At 10:00 I was in the basement pushing play. I pushed hard on all of the exercises and found out I have lost a lot of the strength. I struggled through some of the push up routines which in the past I have cranked the numbers like drinking water. Arms were shaking and the DNA was coming off in buckets. P90X Chest & Back & Ab-Ripper X this morning and after a few errands in the morning and early afternoon, I went for a short run. I averaged 9m02 seconds for the 7.11 miles and was able to run under 9m/mile the last two. I will be heading to bed early tonight, I am TIRED!
