38 minutes on the drainer. I did the Sufferfest "Half is Easy." I don't know the easy half, the 15 sec I'm shredding my legs or the 15 secs I'm gasping for air. Its a killer short workout, when your time is limited.

Mitch, my Strassburg sock was $40, so you got a deal.

I rented ZIPP 404s to try. I've NEVER used race wheels. OMG, they were awesome. I had headwinds and crosswinds, so I gave them a really good test. Used less power to go same speed (less effort). Set me up for a great run. I loved them. Now I'm shopping ;-)

Jackie, glad to heat that you liked the carbon wheels and you saw a benefit from them.  I still haven't tried wheels yet, but it is something on my list.

Today a 22.4 mile (36k) long run which got tough at the end, but it got done!

So I am going to try and play along this month as well. I've been adding in consistency over the last month as my schedule has thrown me a number of curve balls. Early morning workouts have shifted to evening as needed. I've been running 4-5 days a week and hit the bike this weekend for a drainer ride for the first time since July. The pool has been elusive as well, but am trying to get back to 2-3x per week, but we will see. At this point, I am just trying to stay healthy - except for my 11 mile tempo run this morning. I went out trying to take it easy, but . . .

I am about 3 weeks into my meditation program and have been practicing every day. I was very suspicious of it at first, but am finding that I am getting a lot out of it. It has some applicability in long distance training (my breathing in general has improved greatly in all aspects), but find it to be an incredibly useful tool in daily life.

I do eccentrics for my achilles every day. My only suggestion is to do them flat on the floor and not using a step. I did them for months on the step and only felt improvement when my doc suggested doing them flat.

+1 on the strassburg sock, but you have to fiddle around with it - if you don't set it right, you will feel it in the morning.

First night with The Sock last night. +1 on having to fiddle with it. I need to spend more time tonight getting it to fit right on my toes. Not the best sleep last night - but hope to do better tonight.

Also - did everyone see that BT is able to link with Garmin Connect now? You can go into your settings on BT (Settings > Training Log Setting > Device Upload) and configure it to link to Garmin Connect so that when you upload your workout to Garmin it automatically ports to BT.

I'm loving all these sites that are starting to link to Garmin. I have Strava, Trainingpeaks and BT all automatically taking a feed from Garmin. Makes my life a bit easier.

Props to Kurt Kinetic. I filled out an online warranty claim form on Saturday and was contacted same day via email. Answered one additional question and today was informed that a new resistance unit will arrive by Friday for me. I love companies that understand customer service!

Mitch, thanks for the heads up, it was driving me nuts not being able to sync my Garmin 910xt activities directly into BT since the SW update!

Jackie / Joe:

Sock question for you both. Where are you "feeling it" when you wear the sock. Both nights I have felt stretching around the back/bottom of my heel. Not pain, but slightly uncomfortable - at least in the middle of the night when I'm trying to sleep. Just trying to gauge if I'm getting the right effect.

Adding yesterday afternoons swim and this mornings 7 mile run. I'll be hitting the Elliptical tonight with the wife for about an hour to keep attacking the muffin top and planning on a "Two a Day" swim tomorrow, pool in the morning and OWS on the way home.

@Sam- Did I see you have a "Three a Day" yesterday on STRAVA? Talk about getting the bug!! Good job.

Sam- Divorce does Suck. I've never been divorced, but I do about 40 a year and there is nothing good about it. Just trust me that it will get better. Until then, running helps. So does wine , just not too much.
