Member 2689 Denver, CO | Subject: RE: Mad Manatee Mentors v.2 thr.3 CLOSED (Poptart/pet pic bribes considered) I haven't sent out the updated rules for the January 31-day challenge rules because I've been a little swamped at work and was feeling gloomy over the weekend. I'll get them out in a few days, along with the list of everybody I think has signed up. Should we call it the Salty Challenge since she initiated it? Or maybe the Manatee Month of Motivational Mayhem? Also, if you want to have a goal other than the 10 min./day Salty threw out there for Chris, send me a PM or share it here if you feel like making it public (if you haven't already) and I'll note it in my spreadsheet. |

We're in Mentor pergatory. That means no email updates. I saw that! TJ, I saw that your calf is better but now the foot?! What's up with that? The foot is fine. It was just a weird feeling like it wanted to pop. Didn't notice it after I walked home from the park. Contemplating wearing my old PC2's for my 2k tonight. Just wondering if all this mess is coming from the 3's. They're different than the 2's, but not THAT much different. Whew! I was a bit worried there! Regarding the shoes, it's hard to say but I'd try the PC2s for the next run or two. In the meantime, try wearing your PC3 for an hour today, two hours tomorrow, etc. -- just doing errands or making dinner or whatever. When you get to maybe six hours, try running in them again. |

The seat's not too high, right? The bike is fine. The real problem I see is you have no helmet. Aero helmet is better, but you can NOT be at an event and roll up like that. You will be DQ'd, because helmets are in the rules. Otherwise, you look good to go. You sure she doesn't have one of these things on? I guess the fit is ok. Always thought the three wheeled version suit her better though. Could be, I can't tell from the picture. But is that covered under USAT rules? |

As you can see my knees barely fit under the handlebars. I have a small head but the likelihood of it fitting in a 6 year old's helmet was slim.Originally posted by cdban66 isnt your Stack Hat in your basket? Melon Presser 52116 | Subject: RE: Mad Manatee Mentors v.2 thr.3 CLOSED (Poptart/pet pic bribes considered) Soooo as several of you noted, it's that most wonderful time of the year. Oh, and also coming up to Janyne's birthday Do we want to continue in Archives? Do we want fresh Manatee meat? It's usually very succulent. If we open up, when? Sooner, or after the New Year's rush? |

I vote for opening it up earlier than 1/1. That way new Manatees can get in on Salty's Manatee Month of Motivational Mayhem if they want to. |

Crazy morning for me! There was snow on the ground and snow + NM drivers = stoopid so it took a looooong time to drive a short distance. Then when I got near the freeway the car told me I have a low tire! I pulled in to a gas station to check it and they wanted $1 for air. FOR AIR!!!!!!!!!!! I've never needed gas station air before because DH usually takes care of that for me. So after going to a different station, breaking a $20 to get a quarter and standing tin the falling snow, attempting to fill said tire (not even sure which one was low) I gave up and drove to Santa Fe with a low tire light! Whew! |

Whew! Well they do have to pay for the compressor upkeep. Even so, what a pain. Glad you made it to Santa Fe safely. CO people drive stoopid in the snow too. Many seem to think that because they have 4-wheel drive and have enough traction to go, they're fine. What they forget is that they don't have enough traction to stop. You'd think they'd learn. I, of course, have never fallen prey to that kind of thinking. |

Chris, the real question is what size shoe does Salty wear and what size to Mary wear? ;-) |
