I had no idea sherpa-ing was so involved.

Usually isn't for me.  I sherpa-ed for Dan (Marvarnett here) when he raced Duathlon qualifier and Duathlon worlds.  I put him up at my house, made him race the qualifier even though it was snowing, and gave him a bunch of mine and my husband's clothes so he'd be warm racing.  Also, he drank my tea waiting for the race to start so he'd stay warm.  Very fun.

you sherpa'd for DAN! He's one of my BT heroes wrote me little program to get me through Subday but then was super understanding about my decision saying to take the right road is bigger and harder than doing the dumb thing. I love DAN!!!

So yesterday I schmooze down to Urban Hotel and meet up with two Macca FB friends Noel doing his third and Brett doing his first. Brett brought his friend Dave and their wives. Man triathletes are the nicest folk. Hung around chatted a lot to the Bondi Rescue boys. Adriel? Did Auckland his first 70.3 and was the fastest age grouper he's very modest though. Reidy remembered me from Auckland oh you're the girl who shouted go on Reidy every time I went past you. Yes indeedy Reidy! Then had a chat to Cam Brien I truly would like him to get one more win or have the epic battle with Crowie like last year. My man Christisn Kemp has a double stress fracture so he's out. Caroline Steffen lovely as ever remembered me from Auckland too!!! Finally Crowie very much a happy dad. If a man could look radiant he was. Out for dinner with Macca friends. Tonight meeting more of the celebs and Macca crew at the carbo night. Cannot wait... There will be more pics tonight!!! Lovin it

Yep!  He used to live in VA, so he would stay with us while he visited.  Apparently, my "best sherpa" title has been demoted to "best duathlon sherpa".  Hopefully I haven't lost that title.

The website has you starting at 7:40 on Sunday, is that right? Also, I figured out that if I put an "appointment" in my calendar with another time zone it calculates the right time in my time zone! Yay.

Perhaps. I think. I dunno. I feel like I'm chewing gum every time I say BEWBS mentally. I always giggle at nekkid and never at naked.

I should go to sleep, but I'm hungry.

My sister and I keep having munchies that we just can't scratch right.

Just going through the funeral pics is overwhelming.

The number of grown men who were sobbing on me that day is ridiculous. Not that they were sobbing, or men, just the sheer number.

Then again, I suppose my dad and I both have the quality of making grown men cry, one way or the other.

Now THAT makes me laugh.

We're working on it.

Tomorrow's (well, today) Friday (holy/community day in Islam) so he's unlikely to surface then (although the fact that he unsurfaced on this day a week ago is considered very blessed).

My sister's leaving Saturday though she'll come back next week. I hope he'll be able to be brought into existence by then so he can go ahead and die, already.

He's been rattling around the house and scaring the shyte out of the servants. I don't see what the big deal is. That's what he did when he was alive and he's going to keep on being a cranky demanding old soul for a while.

OK, I have homework for all of the Manatees (other than texting me lewd photos)

Warm up! Warm up for your workouts and establish a routine. Then use this same routine for your races. It doesn't have to be long or complicated.  You just need to figure out what works for you but it's extremely important. This is probably the biggest lesson I have learned this year.
