Pennsylvania | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty MAD MANATEES Mentor Group - FULL POD Artemis - 2012-04-23 1:46 PM TriAya - 2012-04-23 12:52 PM Fave flavors are (here with you, Melanie!) frosted cherry and blueberry, then strawberry, then brown sugar/cinnamon, then all the other fruit frosteds, then ... I will say that the space of favor between all the top frosteds is pretty negligible, though. Pop Tarts are available here RARELY and unpredictably. They also sell out almost immediately (go figure) so chances of scoring any here are nil. They also cost $10-$12/box. Small box. In a country where you can eat (well) for a week on $10. So, do I need to send you another box of PopTarts? Yanti - I'd be willing to help feed (yeah, small pun, sorry :P) your Pop Tart addiction! Jen - hopefully baby will recover from her ear infection quickly. Poor dear. Must find that peach beer. Sounds sooo good! I wonder if it gets as far north as PA? Anyone know the distribution range? Science Nerd 28760 Redwood City, California | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty MAD MANATEES Mentor Group - FULL POD I forgot to mention: I had to go to REI this morning. I got a 2nd degree burn on my hand from the oven grate yesterday and they have great burn jel with lidocaine in it. I also bought myself a new pair of toe socks. They weren't very expensive and they make me feel better. Plus they are super thin, so they fit in my Vibrams really well. |

Take baby to doctor, find out baby has ear infection. Just put her down for a nap, so we'll be going out to get antibiotics once she wakes up and eats. At least I have an answer and she should be feeling better in a day or two. I did manage to find the Son of a Peach beer, so I think I'll be having one tonight. I'm going to need it by the end of the day! Ohhh poor baby! No wonder she has been having a rough go! Yeah, at least you know what is wrong now. That probably helps a lot. That is amazing you found the beer! You beat me to the punch and THAT is impressive! On tap for me is a short run and then BBQ with some friends at the park after work. Seattle is being blessed with some excellent weather. I got scorched on my long run Saturday. I knew I should have put some sun screen on but didn't have any in the house. Shame on me for not going to get some. One of the news stations posted this ... so beautiful I can't stop staring at it. I now have ELEVEN good friends in the Seattle area ... you know as soon as it hits 12 I've gotta go. I just gotta. |

Aww....cute little baby kittehs!! Thank you for taking care of them. Third little baby found and on it's way to be re-united with momma! She was moving them from a neighbors hedge to our yard. I had a 100 mile weekend, swam almost two miles, ran a little more than 10 miles, biked a little more than 88 miles. Master 2770 Central Kansas | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty MAD MANATEES Mentor Group - FULL POD cdban66 - 2012-04-23 10:58 AM TW Felicia, doesn't the admin part of your job go away after this semester? I thought you were looking forward to that. Also, any residual stuff from the tornadoes in your area? I hope the family is doing good. Have a great one everybody! Yes, Chris. After classes and commencement are over, I will have one major assessment report to complete, and then I am done. I hope it doesn't take me too far into June to get everything done. Then in the fall, I will be full time teaching and only a little admin (department chair). The town 8 miles to the north of us got hit the other weekend -- there is still some roof and sign damage. The county correctional facility sustained the most damage, so the 60 or so inmates (!!! That's like 1 percent of our county's population!) have been farmed out to other counties while they repair the tornado damage and do some other building improvements they can't do while inmates are there. (This is off subject completely, but something like 36 of those inmates are "INS detainees." That really bothered me. We do have a pretty high immigrant population in our county. I guess I was happy thinking that we were just leaving everyone alone and letting them live their lives the best they could. Silly me.) |

That has to be an awesome sight, the lights of Vegas at 3:00 am as you are heading into town. How cool is that! Sorry that you had some stomach cramping issues. I would think that just getting out at that hour of the morning would have my body complaining in all sorts of ways. Good job getting through it allCongrats to both Kirk and Allen! Welcome to Triathletism Allen! As for my race... I love being here and seeing all of the teams. I got to talk with one of the support staff for a team from Hamburg! They sure came a long way for this. I had my race report completely filled out and it disappeared . I'll put it back in there when I feel like re-hashing it again! In a nutshell, the race got to me about an hour and a half later than expected, I started out feeling really good so I didn't pace myself as I should have. I had some stomach issues, possibly GI, possibly a huge stitch in my side, then got past that but didn't recover on the time, then finished it off with a tight calf. Overall ok but I missed my goal by 4 minutes (wanted to be sub 1 hour). Don't think I'll get my planned swim in today. Still fried from my 3:00 AM run... Bad luck on missing your goal TJ, and the pain issues, but good on ya for running at 2am. Bet the lights looked great. |

Member 892 England | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty MAD MANATEES Mentor Group - FULL POD Just found out my final position now that the provisional results are available. I came 423rd out of 444. In my age group i came 45th out of 45. My original goal was to finish a triathlon. period. My hope was that i would not come last. As i have moved along my journey, i have come to enjoy what i have chosen to do, even though i know that i am not naturally built for it. I have also raised my expectations due to my competitive gremlin sneaking out of it's box, and so whilst i am pleased that i completed my challenge, i was a bit disapointed to see my overall position and to find that i was last in class. I know that i have only been at this for 31/2 months and that i have already come a long way, but i am about to kick it up a level. I want you all to get behind me and push/encourage and generally nudge me further along this path that i have chosen. I don't have long before my next race and i am aiming to be further up the results page when i bring you my next race report. Rant over and things now off my chest. So how are your Mondays going? It's still raining here (about 10 days in a row), went out to celebrate the wifes birthday and it tipped it down. |
