Is it bad when your Doctor calls and says the following.

I have your MRI results from your knee on Monday I need to see you TODAY. Can you please come here for 3pm so we can talk.

Yes, not good.  When I went for my MRI on my nerve, I left the hospital at 3:45 and the surgeon called to schedule surgery at 4:00 pm.  In the healthcare (routinely) no news is good news, the longer wait the better.

you would think...

When I got my needle biopsy done, my doctor never called me.  I waited a couple weeks, and finally looked online to find my results had been complete 7-10 days prior AND to find a them positive.  So called the doctors office and asked why they took so long and he was said he was trying to figure out a way to tell me...

My mom, who teaches in the medical field was LIVID.  Talking to her coworkers, thought it was borderline neglegance and malpractice to wait 10 days to inform me I had cancer and THEN only because I called to force the issue.

Agree with your mom, positive biospy here need to be reported within 12 hours of the second review.

Hi TAN!

My inner thighs are still sore from riding the mechanical bull the other night.

Cool thing is that the bull operator guy used to be a pro bull rider in Mexico and said that I was pretty good.

I would say the same thing to a pretty girl.

or Cord I bet he would be mean bull rider, where is he anyways?

Spanky!!!

Aw man, way to ruin the thought that I was actually good at riding that mechanical bull!  :p

Go see what the doc has to say about the MRI - better to have whatever it is taken care of now, than wait until something is potentially a lot worse.

Oh I am sure you have MAD SKILLZ don't kid yourself.

I have been waiting for the MRI since the injury in JUNE... wanna come back to free Canadian health care... GRRRRR

But at least I might have a direction to go now.

Sorry I need to be a little more on the nice side. I have been fairly bitter as of late...

Yikes... since June?  I'm glad you're finally seeing someone today!  I'll keep my fingers crossed for the best news possible for you  :D

No need to apologize - I've been really, really, REALLY low lately, so I understand - but today has been a really good day!  And hopefully if all goes well, I'll be able to stay in the States and have a Green Card within 5 months or so.

That is all good news. Glad to hear it.

Things will get better for me soon. My wife and I are separating and it looks like she found a place and will most likely be moving out the end of this month. That will end the tension in the house and I can finally get off sleeping on the couch and back into a bed soon.

Stuff like that makes me feel anxious.

I am getting to that point. I want her to leave already but want her to stay. I only want her to stay because I agreed to let her take our dog so she is not alone.

The not having my dog (she is 10 years old) is the hard part. I have hardly cried in years and I have had about 3 dozen melt downs over my dog in the last 2 weeks...

I can be happy all day, then get half way home from work and have to pull over because I am bawling my eyes out and can't see.

Yay! 5 months will fly by! Think of all the dragons you can make!

Multiple dragoons of dragons!  I quite like them - the Pegasus, not so much.  Right now she's the black sheep of the family.

this just for my MRI review.

Average wait time in Ontario for knee surgery is 161 days. So even if we are going down this path and he books something. I have to wait 161-238 days.

161 if I am willing to travel 500 miles for surgery. Which I am.

Right now I wish I could buy some USA health care coverage and just head over there for surgery.

Wow.  My first knee surgery was done within 2 days of seeing the surgeon.  My second was within 2 weeks.  My how things have changed!

Doing the annual Viva Bike Vegas event tomorrow.  Selected the 75 mile route instead of the 102 or 122...  Does anyone else always feel a pang of regret for not going the longer distances at packet pickup?

Every time I signed up for the Silverman HIM, I sort of wished I was doing the full at packet pickup.  OTOH, I was thrilled to death at the END of the HIM that I DIDN'T sign up for the full.

Anway, they are going to close down the strip and let us ride that plus over the Hoover Dam.  Both are not usually open for cyclists.  Should be a cool ride.
