StaceyK - 2013-02-20 8:17 AM I'm not exactly sure how this happened, I think that it might have even been my idea. I have managed to convince two guys at work to do a HIM as a team in October. I will be doing the swim leg, my boss is going to do the ride and another accountant will do the run.Not really sure what I was thinking when I made the suggestion. At least the swim isn't that much longer than the Oly one I am planning in April.

Sounds cool! Have a great time.

amd723 - 2013-02-19 6:08 PM On a completely different note, I'm thinking of doing this race - the relay version.http://keys100.com/index.php/registrationRunning in the keys in may will be stupid hot, but I think this will be a lot of fun.Ok, my iPad wont let me format this correctly, so I don't know that the link will work.

OK, this is a must!

let's try this again.

http://keys100.com/

We have 3 firms and 1 probably.  The probably is my sister in law who is in the midst of radiation therapy, so she can't completely commit until that is over and she knows what she will be up to.  We're looking to add at least one other person.  Once we hear back, this race should be a go!

This looks so fun!  Woo hoo!

Asalzwed - 2013-02-19 2:29 PM How do you all handle massage in your training schedules? Do you do it after hard days? Or do you just fit it where you can?

I don't get to do massage often enough mostly because of a cost issue.

The Chicago marathon registration page had mega problems today.  (Maybe it's because 30k actually were able to register).  Anyhow, I wasn't one of them.  There's still 15k spots left.  Hopefully I get one of them.

Although, I must say I had a very poor session tonight at the master's swim, and it shook me up a little.  Gotta be consistent with this endurance stuff if I'm going to take it seriously! I couldn't even swim my normal 50 in :30.  Did two at :35. Phooey.  The good news is that while my ankle still hurt, I wasn't forced to use resort to the pull buoy.

I hope you get in!  I was thinking of registering, but won't due to this hip pain.

Sorry that your swim wasn't so good.  It'll be better next time.

kgore - 2013-02-19 9:10 PM Well boo. I either have a cold or a sinus infection--hoping for sinus infection--I get those so much I probably spend more time infected  than I do well. Of course dang near anybody I am around or at work with has been sick recently too, so who knows...I spent all of today sleeping/resting/medicating/t.v.-ing....I have to say, I do enjoy the part about not doing anything--its a rare occurrence with me. But still, boo. I would rather get my workouts on.

I am in full empathy with you, Kate.  I was just whining in my blog about being sick AGAIN for crying out loud.  And the bolded part rings so true.  Ugh.  Germs suck.  As I write this, I suppose I should be very grateful my ailments are so minor, unlike our dear Yanti who is persistantly coming down with much more severe maladies (but not anytime in the next two weeks!!).  Stay healthy, my friends.

Yeah, my cold is REALLY lingering. It's the worst in the morning when I am riding my bike in.

Lovin' the memes...I am such a goofball, I can look at them all day and still giggle.

Still sick, though not as sore in the throat as I was yesterday--just a bit clogged up. I decided to stay home from work to try and get rid of it completely--I admit that I probably would have stayed home anyway--I need a "mental health" day..too much stress there of late. Oh well, sleep and meds is my plan for now!
