The RD put me in charge of transition which was mostly awesome. The usual announcements to not ride in transition but so much fun to watch. As usual the parents were the difficulty. I reminded one young girl shed forgotten to put on her helmet and her father said "nobody said she has to have one!" I wanted to tell him he's an idiot for letting her ride without but instead found a loaner for her :/The 10-12s weren't allowed to have outside assistance. Getting the parents to back off was quite a challenge.But over all a great race and so much fun to share with the kids. I can't even imagine how sweet the 3-5 y.o. group was!! Good on you for supporting such a cool event. |
