Extreme Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Updating my totals for the month. Training has been pretty consistent, if relatively low volumes. I'm going to take the next week easy I think as I've been getting progressively more fatigued, and struggling to recover (without consistent sleep it's surprisingly hard to recover from even a short hard training session). But I feel like I've got the basis for a solid start to the year now. :-) Gabe 25 47:37:40 Mitch 25 23:33:50 Jackie 24 29:41:00 Mark Z 22 33:09:00 Dan 22 26:33:25 Jim 21 19:12:07 Joe 21 22:00:00 Rachel 21 18:13:20 Dennis 18 24:16:55 DaveL 17 12:30:00 Melissa 16 21:09:00 Beth 14 11:50:00 Dave C. 11 16:04:00 Mark H 11 09:20:00 Seth 08 07:00:00 Ellen 08 05:54:35 Brian 07 07:00:00 Patrick 06 04:47:00 |

Expert ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Originally posted by jackiep OMG, Ultraman rocks! I was one of 5 crew members crewing for the first Type 1 diabetic to ever be in and now complete an Ultraman. It was the experience of a lifetime for me. Jackie, that sounds awesome and I want to hear more about the experience, organization, etc.. If I survive the Marthon Des Sables 1yr from now, I might consider and Ultraman :-) |

Expert ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Originally posted by markz Adding a 45' ride on Friday and a 7 hr (yes, 7) trail walk/run thismmorning. Started at 4 am, I'm home now, had a beer, 2 coffees and something to eat and am slowly dying on the couch. Kuddos to you Mark for that 7hr endurance workout and one step closer to conquering the Kokoda challenge! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Originally posted by trisuppo Now if it would only stop raining so I could ride it outside. You're letting a little bit of rain stop you? If that was all that was standing in my way.... Me + Aero bars = stay back at least 15 feet. Me + Aero bars + wet road = CRASH!! Finished my last long run of the season today by completing the Woodlands Marathon. Sure wanted a 4:20 PR but that didn't happen. I really messed up my training by allowing myself to use long run Sundays as a social event instead of getting out there and doing what I needed to get done. Lesson learned and it won't happen again next year. My longest training runs were 16 miles and I knew I should have put in a few 20+ but I didn't due to "staying with the group". I was on track to my PR when reality hit me at mile 18 as you can tell by my run on Garmin, definitely needed more long runs! https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/708056905 Edited by sawyer1206 2015-02-28 8:55 PM |

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Dennis, congratulations on completing the marathon! PR or not, you are a hero in my book. Well done! Jackie, we had a very steep trail with 8 creek crossings and lots of mud. It was fun, but very exhausting. I've never done anything like this before. Edited by markz 2015-03-01 4:07 AM |

Take it easy and recognize the stress your body will be under with a newborn to take care of. |
