If you're doing a little racing tell us about it! If you aren't, what's up instead? No real racing for me just a 5k Homeless Walk w/ some people from work. Kind of funny but I am going to run to the walk from home - do the walk then run home. Tony is doing his last cross race on Sunday so the kids and I will be cheering. I'm having a minor panic attack that the holidays are already closing in on me. Lots to do! But a great time of the year. :-) |

Then I need to do some work to re-arrange the W.O. schedule around next weeks travels for Thanksgiving. We are off to my sisters in the Twin Cities for the Holiday and for also for a college visit at the U of Minnesota for the oldest daughter.....( Still not sure I can handle having one of my kids becoming a "Golden Gopher" but it is like #2 on her list right now!!) Good Luck to all the racers this weekend! REPRESENT!! |

It's killing me. Been on the drainer for a couple of weeks now....not because of cold (its been beautiful outside) but because of darkness in the AM. To many peeps getting hit around here to ride in the pitch black! Some ideas: - My favorite thing to watch if you are not in the mood to ride: http://www.thesufferfest.com/video-sufferfests/details-fight-club/ If this hour video doesn't inspire you to have shaky-leg syndrome when you get done, you are not alive! - I also will find a computrainer for my long weekend rides 2x per month. We have LBS's and a Triathlon coaching location that sells rides for $10.00 for up to 2 hours of open cycling. Best money you can spend if you need to get some T.I.T.S. and you usually ride with others also. Dino Edited by badgerintx 2010-11-17 9:54 AM |

Just easier to focus on the workouts and much faster, especially when the bike is already on the trainer. We subscribed to NetFlix and I watch a movie there normally. |

Extreme Veteran 689 | Subject: RE: swbkrun Mentor Group II- CLOSED FOR BUSINESS!!! so what do people do with their old running shoes? I collect and go through at least 3-4 pair per yr and I hate throwing them out. I've usually just keep the last pair as a walking shoe or general workout shoe but I still have 6 pairs in the closet.. Do you donate them? |

Ummmmm... your crushing the bike leg in your triathlons? As EN always preaches (and everybody knows I have drank that kool-aid this year!): "There is no such thing as a good bike followed by a bad run" Just saying! Edited by badgerintx 2010-11-17 1:17 PM |

Do you donate them? Both our local running stores take the shoes if there is some life left. Also Nike has a program that takes any running shoe and turns them into rubber bits used to resurface tracks and outdoor courts. Search for Nike Reuse program. |

Master 2621 Almaden Valley, San Jose, California | Subject: RE: swbkrun Mentor Group II- CLOSED FOR BUSINESS!!! Not racing this weekend - but doing the 5K Turkey trot on Thanksgiving, with my youngest. Bet's on - the only issue still to be negotiated is how much time he's giving me. I want 10 minutes, he wants to give me 2. Realistically, he'll probably beat me by 5. Should be fun! Had allergy tests this morning......scratched my entire back, and I am allergic to.....everything they checked for today, except feathers. huh. Back in 2 weeks to finish the panel. My back isn't a pretty site, but I had a great ride afterwards, so maybe I ride faster when I itch! So, John, got any fun fact charts for me? |
