Champion 7704 Williamston, Michigan | Subject: RE: Memorial Hermann Ironman Texas 2012 : Official Thread SO in other news its POURING outside here in south Texas. Not sure I will get my workouts in today. My pool is outside and its currently raining a bit too hard to go running. Also I spent 1/2 the night putting a 9 year olds arm back together. I have reached the age where the minimum amount of sleep my body needs is 5 hours. I got about 3:45 last night and I am WHOOPED! I did get to come home and take a nap but I still am whooped. That in combination wiht a severe case of ironman brain and I am pretty worthless So are we planning an BT meet ups? A lunch or something? I do not know the venue or area at all. Maybe we could meet up for the swim on friday and maybe lunch somewhere after? There is a mall near the venue so we could do soemting as simple as the foot court as that would offere everone something their diet will allow? I am planning or going to the practice swim friday am and will wear my BLUE BT shirt that has IMFL stuff on the back. Should we start a watching thread with everyones number name etc? |

I'll see if I can find my Blue IMFL BT shirt as well. Maybe someone can make a little BT sign for the swim. It was hard to recognize BTers in LP a couple of years ago.
Can't wait....Packing one of my bags right now, I suggest you have a nice list of what you need to bring and what you'd like to bring. Makes packing so much easier. |

New user 7 Washington | Subject: RE: Memorial Hermann Ironman Texas 2012 : Official Thread I do not have a BT shirt but I think it would be nice to meet up with some of you as this is my first IM and I know no one else competing. I get in Wednesday but I would be down for the swim on Friday or lunch. |

I will try to make a sign. |

I would be jealous if you go there. The swim is located in a park area and you could place the sign by a picnic table.mom2boys70 - 2012-05-09 5:01 PM A meet up would be fun! Extreme Veteran 930 Fort Worth, TX | Subject: RE: Memorial Hermann Ironman Texas 2012 : Official Thread I am among those who are fighting a continual cold/sinus infection the past two weeks...really has made taper suck. I honestly think the "wind down" has left my body so confused that it can't cope effectively. I am praying that I will catch a healthy window for the race. Also, I have NEVER met any of the BT folks, so I'd love to do so! |

Master 2468 Muskego, Wisconsin | Subject: RE: Memorial Hermann Ironman Texas 2012 : Official Thread Drove to Richmond to drop off my bike only to find out that the store was closed for inventory. Who closes a store for inventory when they are expecting multiple bike drop offs throughout the day for tomorrow's early tribike transport pick up? Luckily, the guy inside understood and came out and accepted my gear along with another person's. Received my new Joule in the mail today and it connected with my computer right away. Was worried that it wouldn't make it in time. I'm happy. Half my gear is packed and out of my hands.

I am not sure I can meet up but if people are doing anything friday I would like to meet some fellow BTs. As for my training here. The sun is finally out and the 40 days and 40 nights have passed here in seattle. Noah is expected to unload this weekend. To bad my bike is already in route to the race or I would love to ride it when the sun is out. |

I will look for my IMKY shirt from 2008. I haven't see that thing in a long time! So I'll have a "BT" sign outside the athlete dinner and at the practice swim. The sign will be on my bag while I'm swimming, or my boyfriend will be holding it. |

I got lucky, my confirmation email said 5-11-12 at noon was the pickup time so I planned on taking today off and getting in a 3hr ride and then cleaning her up and driving over on Friday morning. Late Wednesday night I was on the bike shops website to get the address and realized they changed my drop off time to a day earlier. That would have sucked bad. |
