lovin' those temps... even a few degrees cooler would be fine with me (especially on the run).

Rode the disc wheel last night for the first time.  It was windy here in Houston which made for a perfect test ride... the disc wasn't as bad as I thought it might be ~ the majority of the ride was in a cross wind (riding east to west - with a strong southerly wind).  Good confidence builder, but I can certainly do without such a wind in 16 days!

I will be there with you. I am hoping to get the swim in and get all the Ocean Swim fears out prior to race morning.

Is the bike course marked the days leading up to the race to get a short spin in?

When are Bib #s coming???

2 weeks from today I'll be driving up YAY.  Seems so odd like its still so far away and yet its not.  I have a lot of life stuff to get thru between now and then.  I'm hoping for  race day in the 70s with no wind.

I emailed Ironman about that very question today.  They said that the bib numbers will be posted next week.  Looks like my 23rd prediction was a few days off.

I'm with you there.  Not cold in the morning...don't want to freeze on the bike after the swim...but I have no control over the weather..it will be what it will be and I just need to be prepared to deal with it....but it would be nice with no wind...or at least a nice tailwind.

Since we're just randomly posting our wishes for race day, a slight downhill throughout the bike would be nice Does anyone elses body feel like it aged about 30 yrs. over the past few days? Im sore, achy and slow. Uggghhh... I guess that is why taper is so important. Get over that now and be fresh as a daisy come race day! Happy Hump Day

You are so right!.. That's exactly how I feel, like I aged another 40 years in a course of one week... last week I was pumped up, then after this last week of long workouts I didn't have anything left to follow up on the week's planned workouts. It must be a mental thing.. but regardless, Tapering is a good excuse to cut back on workouts.. right?

No it was just a last chance to 'bail out' of the race and not be assigned a bib number!

NO WAY after all this training even if I have to crawl to the start line I will be in Panama City on 11/7!

Yep, whooped. I cannot think of when I have felt this whooped. I hope that means that I'm right for peeking because my body is demanding to rest...

x3

I was so looking forward to tapering this week and I was shocked at how tired I have been.  My 13 miler on Tuesday felt harder than my 20 miler on Saturday!  I guess that is why the taper is 3 weeks for me!

I am just happy to be here, hope to make it to the start on the 7th, and not get sick or cramp up too bad during that day.  The 7th can't get here soon enough!  Mostly looking forward to the afterparty on Sunday night.  I miss my drink.
