LAME. tis. And lemon bars But I have owned/raised lemons. However, they have not pooped on me or kept me up all night - so maybe not? I'll actually accept that. I was looking for "I was a lemon farmer" as the correct answer, but the judges say that one will work. Kido's given full points and his lemon opinion counts. |

Another cruel depiction is carob chips. My FAVORITE pie is French Silk followed closely by lemon meringue. I tried my hand a shoe fly pie (famous in the south - if you like molasses). I like the taste but not so much the texture. |

When the FIL comes to town, the wife will ask me a question/advice/etc. but NEVER take it unless she also runs it by her dad. It's aggravating to have my answer even MORE worthless than it normally is. |

I realize how tall I am when I see guys and say WOW, they are tall, the get next to them and look them in the eye. I AM a freak.
Not sure if that makes me an authority on anything, but it happened. |

BUT, I have a rumchata recipe I want to make.
In a pinch, I fall back onto a Harvey Wallbanger cake with whipped cream cheese icing. Google the recipe. It get's great reviews when I make it. |

My aunts are all so sweet and they were really happy to see us. It made me feel pretty good. In news of March Madness, I got on the elevator with John Calipari this morning in Nashville. SEC Tournament is starting today in Nashville. I chose not to ask him what happened this year with his crop of Parade All Americans. TW |

great segway. there. ONE thing I don't like about the SW approach of first come first serve, is people are selfish and inconsiderate. They want an entire row or an empty seat next to them hoping to dissuade people from going in their row. When the plane fills up, other people make them get up out of the seat, so they can slide in to the window. Then you get people walking up and down the isles looking for seats, overhead storage, making people shuffle. I was particularly cranky and saw an empty seat between a couple and another one between a mom and her little kid. I almost decided to take the middle seat and if they decided to move next to each other, put on some theatrics about wanting the MIDDLE seat since it was open. But I was too tired to go through with it. |

I will gladly be treated like cattle and sit in a middle seat for the lower air fare! Already booked my flight to Vineman on Southwest, woot woot. On my flights to LA it's not that bad. They are typically half full, so I just walk to the back of the plan and get a row or extra seat between us - but I take the window so I don't need to be disturbed after getting my spot. What is somewhat confusing to me, you check in 24 hours before the flight and get a number. I have checking in 60 seconds after it opens and still get B57 or something. How did 117 spots already get taken? They reserve them for the upgrade people or something. |

I have to say that I've never really had a problem with seat selection, usually because when I do fly I remember to check in 24 hours in advance. I usually end up a high A or a low B so it's all good. Back in the olden days I was on the `A-List' so I was A16 or A17 most of the time and would get first choice. That was nice. If family members are sitting in the aisle and window seats and the middle one is the only one left, I'll take it. I aint shy. |

It's been a long time since I checked but it was 300-400 for a round trip on most other flights to bring the bike.
I might camp out at the computer for a long flight. Vegas to LA is 50 minutes so I don't give a crap as long as I get a seat. The longer flights I work to get something more comfortable. Edited by Kido 2013-03-14 3:00 PM |

I will gladly be treated like cattle and sit in a middle seat for the lower air fare! Already booked my flight to Vineman on Southwest, woot woot. You have the smallest little weird round airport I have ever had to fly into.
I Used to end up in Kansas for work a lot and it was always weird. I guess I am just used to a larger airport like Detroit. |

Yes for being the self-proclaimed "Air Capital of the WORLD" our airport is sad. We just build airplanes here, no need to have a nice airport and selection of airlines to fly in and out, apparently... |

Kido - 2013-03-14 3:31 PM mehaner - 2013-03-14 12:27 PM i normally would make it on my own, but just thought of it at the last minute. i did promise people cupcakes tomorrow so i have been googling cupcake recipes all afternoon. what do you recommend (cake and icing flavor combos) Cupcakes seem a little labor intensive. BUT, I have a rumchata recipe I want to make.
In a pinch, I fall back onto a Harvey Wallbanger cake with whipped cream cheese icing. Google the recipe. It get's great reviews when I make it. cupcakes are easier than pie, i think! |
