Anything new and exciting for anyone these days?

Meh is still a hooker. Arti is having surgery soon. Some people (Crowny, Preacherman) seem to have disappeared. I am still here intermittently. A few others are popping in and out recently.

One of my very close friends isn't very close anymore because I was unable to shell out the $1,200 to attend her destination wedding this year. She was angry because I traveled to OKC (drove, cost about $100 in gas and split hotel for about $75 each) and Albuquerque (flew free on Southwest and stayed with a friend) but wouldn't shell out $500 for a flight, $500 for two nights hotel, $100 for a rental car and this and that for food and booze.

Whatever. Destination weddings suck.

Morning TAN. Today is surgery day. Leaving for hospital at 1. Wish I could eat or drink something.

So TAN, what do you think of the TAN that is currently thriving in Tri Talk?

we don't talk about other threads in TAN!  but i've never even read it, i am actually learning about triathlons and gear when i go there, the last thing i need is another place for mindless chatter and snarky comments.

i take that back.  i just read a few pages and i'm jealous.  it's like TAN when TAN was good.  they are talking about moldy tacos.

Sorry I had to go underground for a while. Hurtin'. Are you all healed up now?

I'm getting there, I guess.  Back to the surgeon in a week to have more x-rays and find out for sure.

But yours is not a desitnation wedding to a place that's uber expensive! Wine country? In August? That was out of my price range, and that's even only staying two nights instead of the customary three!
