money is not an object, but time is.  you have 7 - 9 days (mid-May).  WHERE IS YOUR DREAM VACATION?

Hmmm... 1. Rome/Venice, 2. Panama/Costa Rica, 3. Morroco.

morrocco is very high on my list, but if you aren't already in spain its a pain in the butt to get to.

Europe. You can hit many places in a short amount of time. Fly to London, spend a few hours there and see everything, then take the Eurostar to Paris, spend a day there, go to the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and Notre Dame, skip the museums until you have more time. Fly to Barthelona, lay on the beach for a couple days. Fly to Rome and eat good food and drink awesome wine. Fly back to Paris, see a museum or two. Take the train back to London, picking up some stinky French cheese and a bottle of wine because it's super tasty and annoys the British. Have dinner in L-Town, catch a footy match and then fly back to teh U.S.

that sounds EXHAUSTING.

It is. And awesome.

I understand. I like both, at different times. Sometimes I'm a beach bum, other times I'm all `Let's see EVERYTHING!'

PErsonally, in May, I'd rather go lay on a beach. But you can do that anytime. If money isn't an issue, I'd vote for seeing everything.

let's also frame this - i went to germany 2 weeks ago and will be there at least 3 more times this year, and i'm going to rome and athens in march, and will be spending a bunch of time in pisa later this year.  (work and school related travel)

so i don't need a scary massive euro tour jammed into a week.

ALSO i'm ok with being called a wussy. you have called me much worse.

I was just kidding Meh! See the tongue-sticker-outer guy?

Anyway you do what you want. Sorry I suggested it. I was just thinking if I had unlimited funds but limited days, I'd see as much as possible in as little time as possible.

We tend to be the "we have to do/see as much as you can" as we don't know when we are going back.  But when we did our European tour, we just about killed ourselves.  But it was worth it in the end.

Hi TAN,

I just got back from the sentencing hearing for David Headley (this guy:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Headley ) and I hope that the 35 years the judge gave him will be enough that he never sets foot outside a prison ever.  I almost lost it during the victim impact statement that was read and then almost lost it (again - but for a different reason) when his attorney's suggested a sentence somewhere around 10-12 years.

All in all, an interesting but depressing way to start my day.  Please cheer me up a bit TAN peoples!!!

Personally, I'd rather head for somewhere WARM instead of Europe right about now...

I was hoping that the judge was going to completely disregard the Government's suggestion of 35 years and give him life behind bars (as was his discretion to do so, if he wished) - but I sincerely hope that the sentence that was given will serve that same purpose.

It was highly satisfying to see him get put away.

Tony was planning a super activity filled vacation in Europe!

Not for you guys, but a start is a start...

Haha!  I hope he recommended Paris, London, Barcelona, Rome and maybe Venice?  If it's not for us, then whoever gets to do that trip should have fun!

Personally, I'd rather head for somewhere WARM instead of Europe right about now...

You can always come for a visit!!  Laughing

Believe me, I REALLY wish we could!  This cold thing is out of control!

Well anytime you want to come you let me know and I will make sure we have some fun stuff to do.  I will even ask the people I know who have fun what the fun stuff is.

Hey-ooooo my team at work just won a big PR/crisis communications award. I shall commence taking most of the credit since I put together the awards application

Just kidding - it was a team effort. We had to come into work after that tornado whilst everyone else sat on their butts and got paid.

What if I just want to laze on the beach and bask in the warm sunshine?  Can that be considered fun?
