Sorry wanted 4000, ran short on time so only got 2800 but still on my way to 35,000.
I will be trying for 5 swims this week and hopefully my largest swim week ever, maybe 15000 this week alone.

Common dudes 10 days left

Ooh - I thought I'd lucked out and gotten dropped off the list somehow... but there I am again.

I've been having to focus a lot of time on my run (which will continue), as I'm ramping up for an unexpected half mary. But it looks like I can still make it...

Keep swimming, women!

Only 9,950 of 40,000 left. Very doable. 3 or 4 swims left.

Looks like all the women are on task, except it looks like aemmom hasn't been active on BT the last week. Hopefully, she's busy swimming!

It looks like it is getting serious now. The "chicks" are starting to get out there and the dudes are finishing strong. I have 4 straight days of swimming planned to finish off my 35000.

Best of luck Men!!!

Whoo whoo - 1600 m left for me ... 2-3 swims and I'm done (and I have at least that many swims planned for the end of the month). Thanks for this, guys (and gals) - I've made some real progress in my quest to learn to swim.

I am sorry that I haven't completed my swims. I have been having some serious personal crisis that has prevented from doing anything. Is it too late to bow out now? I doubt I can complete my goals, right now life has just gotten in the way (father is in ICU with head trauma and heart attack) and I am trying to keep it together at work, too. I am so sorry - I really wanted to tackle this challenge.

Aemmom do what you need to do.  Wow.  Some life events make an Ironman Triathlon look like a cake walk!

A miracle happened  for the women's team:  I ACTUALLY SWAM IN THE MORNING.  45 minutes and (maybe) 900 yards.

(okay, okay, I know I'm still behind)

That is awesome, even with all the smack talk we all give each other in the end it is all about achieving goals and keeping everyone accountable.

OK enough of me patting you on the back, guys still rule!!

Your off the hook in my boat. Hopefully everything works out ok. I will still rag on the rest of your team though.

I think the consensus  will be that you don't have to finish.  You have much more important things to think about.  Take care of yourself and your family.  I'll be thinking about you.

Just finished a 4000 yd swim, to leave me with 6000 to go! May I add that I'm currently in the process of quitting my job (end of month), closing on my house sale (end of month), selling ALL my stuff, moving out, finding a home for my cat, and leaving the country to go travel for 6 months? If I can do all this + swim goal - I know everyone else can too! But I guess I'm lucky (or not) cuz I don't have family to split my time with.

Come on girls, let's finish strong!!!

Way to go Robin314!!!  Extra points for managing swims in at this point of your life!!

I'm up to 4,100 yards in 3 hours and 29 minutes.  Had to fight to keep swimming today as the sea was an ugly mustard brown color and waves were big.  Swimming in waves isn't that bad I just find it disconcerting and discouraging.
