I forgot races counted double -- maybe I should have dropped the $50 to run concrete trails w/ the masses today......   Nah!

Helped friends move then hung out on their deck enjoying good company and a beautiful view.  Needed that.

Long ride tomorrow.  Should do a swim and strength workout to catch up too

If I did my math right, we should be at 16.7%  --  shoot I'm not even close!!

I did the 10K with Jen and Kristen.

The rain did not keep the crowds down for running--only spectators I kept yelling for more cowbell...Waiting for my official time but I think I was a shade slower than last year

So, stupid question - where does one buy a cowbell? I'm thinking the Monkeys (my children)need them for my summer tris...

I really should have thought about races counting double when making my training goals.  I was just going by my training plan.  After today's race, I am already 55% done with my run goal.  Guess that one is going to get increased.

As a team, we are  9.75% done with our goal.  The 16.66% is how far we are through the month.  Gives us an idea of where we should be.

Hm, the Bell outlet has sound clips, so that you can hear what each bell sounds like. LOL

Below you will find the link for your team's spreadsheet. You can edit it with
username: btchallenge
password: challengeforum

Please take a minute to check your goals. If they are wrong, or you don't have any, please change them. No need to notify me. Challenge goals should be finalized by Friday, 4/4.

The only columns you'll need to edit throughout the challenge are the ones for entering your progress. Ex: Swim Completed. Everything else is calculated automatically - the percentages, averages, even the day and progress through the month. Please don't change them.

Let me know if you have questions!

Hi Jen!

Some people have been asking about reporting days. Do you want results on Sundays?

Thanks!

Had a great ride today - 3.2 hours, 3400' elevation gain.  I'm caught up on my biking goal and then some, but need to throw in an extra strength and swim this week.  I really am not capable of sticking w/ the training plan, not even as a general outline

Hope everyone had a great weekend!!!

Not sure I'm ready for such a big goal   My biking goals this summer: 1) use aerobars without falling over; 2) use water bottles without falling over; and 3)  learn how to mount/dismount without falling over.  Maybe I should borrow some downhill racing gear for practicing

Practice in a soft place   I'm getting used to the aero bars we put on for Christmas, nice straightaways are the best places for getting in and I saw barqhead advise someone to put one arm in at a time.  The water bottle reach just takes time and patience, I'm getting better at it but am not where I would like to be.  The bike remains my weakest link so I'm working on correcting that while I start to taper for the half mary.

My back is feeling a little better as long as I dont bend foward and then up so i have to squat to do anything...or bring my foot to the table to tie my shoe.  Im doing some strengthening exercises the PT gave me and see if that will help some.  Will be back to running in the morning after teaching spinning.....planning on about 6 miles so we'll hope all goes well.

Hope everyone had great weather like we did here in Southern Ohio today!

Glad I'm not the only one!  I am ok w/ 1 arm in aero, but putting the 2nd one in is a bit intimidating, especially with the wind.  I need to find a nicely paved, flat, quiet, protected road somewhere.   In Colorado.  Wish me luck

Put in .5 hr strength because I felt guilty.  Glad it's over.  My legs thought it was a bad idea after the hill climbing today.  I told them that when they're cellulite-free they get to vote on what we do.   In the meantime.... you know the rest

Or training wheels!

(Although I'm sure you're doing MUCH better than I'd be. My sense of balance is really bad. I tend to fall over a lot. And that's while I'm standing with two feet flat on the ground!)

For those of you who are uncomfortable in aero on your bike, have you had a bike fit? I ride in aero 95+% of the time and was comfortable within a couple weeks riding..I even corner, go down hill and climb some hills in aero.

With a good fit it can make you sore. If you are sore or uncomfortable it is a fit issue.
