Elite 3471 Evergreen, CO | Subject: RE: Team Amazing Atoms I forgot races counted double -- maybe I should have dropped the $50 to run concrete trails w/ the masses today...... Nah! Helped friends move then hung out on their deck enjoying good company and a beautiful view. Needed that. Long ride tomorrow. Should do a swim and strength workout to catch up too If I did my math right, we should be at 16.7% -- shoot I'm not even close!! |

I'm thinking the Monkeys (my children)need them for my summer tris... I did the 10K with Jen and Kristen. The rain did not keep the crowds down for running--only spectators I kept yelling for more cowbell...Waiting for my official time but I think I was a shade slower than last year |

Science Nerd 28760 Redwood City, California | Subject: RE: Team Amazing Atoms I really should have thought about races counting double when making my training goals. I was just going by my training plan. After today's race, I am already 55% done with my run goal. Guess that one is going to get increased. As a team, we are 9.75% done with our goal. The 16.66% is how far we are through the month. Gives us an idea of where we should be. |

I'm caught up on my biking goal and then some, but need to throw in an extra strength and swim this week. I really am not capable of sticking w/ the training plan, not even as a general outline Hope everyone had a great weekend!!! |

Not sure I'm ready for such a big goal My biking goals this summer: 1) use aerobars without falling over; 2) use water bottles without falling over; and 3) learn how to mount/dismount without falling over. Maybe I should borrow some downhill racing gear for practicing |

The water bottle reach just takes time and patience, I'm getting better at it but am not where I would like to be. The bike remains my weakest link so I'm working on correcting that while I start to taper for the half mary.Artemis - 2008-04-06 4:09 PM skarl - 2008-04-06 5:42 PM Had a great ride today - 3.2 hours, 3400' elevation gain. I need to find a nicely paved, flat, quiet, protected road somewhere. In Colorado. Wish me luck Put in .5 hr strength because I felt guilty. Glad it's over. My legs thought it was a bad idea after the hill climbing today. I told them that when they're cellulite-free they get to vote on what we do. In the meantime.... you know the rest |

I tend to fall over a lot. And that's while I'm standing with two feet flat on the ground!) |

Champion 19812 MA | Subject: RE: Team Amazing Atoms For those of you who are uncomfortable in aero on your bike, have you had a bike fit? I ride in aero 95+% of the time and was comfortable within a couple weeks riding..I even corner, go down hill and climb some hills in aero. With a good fit it can make you sore. If you are sore or uncomfortable it is a fit issue. |
