Because my mafia is so small (only 36) I have been really putting all my points to defense and attack because I was sick of getting my azz kicked in fights and robberies.

H - 140
E - 73
S - 13

And I'm only level 60.  I know I need to start putting more point to energy as it is starting to keep me from getting anywhere if I can only do 1 or 2 big jobs before depleting the points.

I just requested a few more of you that weren't on my list.

Mainer is bad azz as he has given me a whole bunch of the collection pieces over the game (as well as others here have) and I have reqped the rewards accordingly!

Your personal Attack and Defense are added together during a fight/attack/robbing. Just because you put them in defense does not mean that it provides any specific bonus. The mods of the game have stated however that it may be wise to even out attack and defense because they may at one point make them two separate peices to the attack formula.

During a fight/attack/robbing each member of your mafia gets one weapon, one armor and one vechicle. To have an overage of a weapon, armor or vehicle that has a maintainence cost load just hurts your bottom line... but when you are making millions per hour it really doesn't mean much.

Weapons wise I would make sure that you have visited Cuba. The weapons, armor and vechicles are much more powerful than anything in NY that I have seen so far (I'm only a level 50-60 I think).

The Cuba items are only used in Cuba? Is that correct? You can't bring them back right?

Weapons are weapons... I fought a couple of times last night and this morning and it listed my machete and lead pipe... which are more powerful than the chain gun.

Whatever weapons/armor/vehicles are in your overall arsenal are used everywhere.

I did the 500 Town Cars just to get that Achievement done.  Then I sold off like 300 of them .........

Now I'm working on the Mega Casinos.  Only have 20 so far.

Anyone else been as stupid and greedy as me and actually pay Zynga for Godfather points??

Yes, I've done it twice ......... and got some bad azz stuff and advanced things along really quickly both times.

I've thought about it... but didn't click the button. I use the site, just haven't paid (kinda like BT, sorry Ron). I guess that is the heart of the free-mium business model. You pay you get better stuff.

Yeah - when I say Cuba stuff I mean collectibles (Fruit, Cocktails, Beards et.)

I am really digging the Mafia Favors part of the home page that they just put in.  It tells you all of your family that has requests out and it is a one click helper. 

Did they just do this?  Haven't seen it yet...but can't wait...boy what a PITA it is to go to each person's page individually.  I would LOVE if they were all in one place!  I could gift more!  And it would be easier to gift stuff to myself from Lara's account!   Right now in order to do it easily I have to login as ME, publish my wish list so it's recent on her home page and then logout as me, login as HER, find my post, and gift.  Whew.

That's one achievement I don't have yet--the 500 gifts.  I don't want to give people useless stuff just to get the achievement...I want to give people things they NEED!  Though, some of you may have noticed me gifting some Politico Corrupto trying to up my number of gifts given...I'm only at like 260!  And I have a bajillion politico corrupto.

I'm not looting as many Blackmail photos as I thought I would being Lara.  The problem is that you need the concealable camera's first...and that's like a 1 out of 4-6ish chance...since you don't loot every time you do the job and you can loot one of three things.  Then once you have the camera's, you don't loot a photo every time either.  So I think you need to do about 6-8 jobs to get ONE photo!  Crazy!  That's why whenever I do get the "free gift" screen I try to give Blackmail Photos...they are the most useful thing on there (I think).  Does anyone think something else is more useful????

Usually after I receive one (like when I log in during the morning) it will follow up with a gifting once a day.  I always try to get everyone in my mafia to make sure they get something.

Yeah, I am not getting the screen no matter how I go into MW.  Sometimes I'll click to accept my gifts first, then click the "play mafia wars" and won't get the screen.  Sometimes I'll use the regular go to Mafia Wars Link.  Doesn't seem to matter.   I wonder if you have to be logged out of it for a certain amount of time?

I'll have to search the forums.  The forums do occasionally have some good info!

Wait...are you talking about the running list on the homepage that sometimes has job requests and has recently starting having a "click here to get your reward" line?  And whichever one you click on first gets you about 2 points per one of those listings?  Then clicking on the rest gets you nothing because you already clicked on the first?

If anyone is in a giving mood, I could use a snake and a dragon sculpture, a boxing ring, and a 9,J,K,A of clubs

I payed $5.00 on two occasions and used all of the points for energy refills.
