Technically, I have been that way since "My Lovely Wife" decided she was not ready to stop dating, about a year and a half ago. Though I don't believe in divorce, her dating other people why we were married was kind of a deal breaker for me. So, I'm a single dad of 3 ranging from 16 to 3; well almost single (we have not lived together in a LONG time, she's lived with 2 other guys since she moved...). Any other single parents out there? |

I love being single myself as well. I just hate only seeing my kids half the time. I've been using my training as a crutch to get through the situation, and now that Steelhead is over with, and my training plan for Steelhead has been completed, I am oddly "calm" about the situation. I'm definetly not looking for any serious relationship at this point, but it's always good to meet other singles, especially those with simmilar ages (36), backgrounds, interestes, etc. |

I love it most of the time but sometimes I admit, I get lonely. Because I have such a large family, when the time came after my divorce that my children went with their father for two weeks, it was the first time I had been alone in over 20 years. I didn't know what to do with myself. Now on those weekends I am alone, I am traveling.... I have become the queen of the weekend trip! Since I decided to train for a triathlon, I do use the training to fill my time. It has given me a terrific excuse when people like my nosy daughter ask,"why don't you ever go out?" Now I can just say, "well, you know honey.... between work, the kids and my training, I really don't have the time....." |
