Looks like everyone is having fun getting into running for the month. Everyone has great goals!

I'm so inspired that even though my new training plan says it's rest day I will take a little run. I just set up for the first time my cyclops fluid2 bike trainer this morning as well as set up a new wheel with trainer tire for it. I will do a run bike combo today.

Have fun everyone!

I haven't heard from Joblin but I think the cheerleader should be ok with no run commitment.

So I keep reading that Joblin is going to be a team cheerleader.

But I see she's already listed a goal on the spreadsheet, AND she's recorded a run for today.

Therefore, I'm going to leave her listed as a participating team member for the challenge.

If it turns out that she really does want to drop out, can someone please PM me, or post on the Challenge Announcement thread? (I may not see the post on this thread.)

Thanks!

Well, the sign-ups started out really slowly. So I figured 4 teams would be enough.

And then, POOF! People started signing up like crazy. We've got 86 so far (plus one cheerleader).

It's not the biggest challenge I've had though. I've had a few at 100+. The largest was about 147 or so.

Joblin - 2009-10-01 8:41 AM

Hi all,

actually I did run today and it was fine as long as I stay with shorter distances.

I could be in but need to have a very low goal for this month. Will challenge myself to 50K of running and walking.

Of course I can also cheerlead

Go Team, Go team....(it would help if I could rhyme too lol)

I am in Spain right now surrounded by Ironmans....you just need to do something to not feel left out

So glad you decided to stay.  Just go easy.

Easy way to add it to your dashboard is to quote the article like you are going to reply then copy the html (text) and paste it into your dashboard in the settings menu.

On the post with the table, hit the Quote button. Then on the new post screen select the HTML editor button. When the tiny Editor opens, select the HTML code from the start of the tag <TABLE> to the end of the table </TABLE>. Right click once it's highlited and select copy. Now you can close that and abort the quoted post. Go to your training log main page, and edit your blog/header. Now select the HTML editor again, figure out where you want to put the table, and then paste in the HTML code from your copy buffer. Select the update button on the editor and you should be back into the normal text edit of your training log with the table pasted in.

Hello everybody! Guess I should introduce myself. My name is Jennie and I live in Texas (where it is still hot & humid). My goal is to run 90 miles in October. 5 down, 85 to go. I have a 1/2 mary on the 18th, and the Houston Marathon in January (my 1st full marathon). Kinda scared, I'm ni speed demon, but I am persistant. Good luck everyone!

YES - good luck everyone!

Kathy - cyclocross looks like a blast...but we have no races here in Arkansas.
