I did a bike session yesterday but that is not on this challenge for me.  However, today I plan a run (even though it's raining buckets!)  and a swim.  That will be two more for the stuffed Turkeys spreadsheet!

I got in a 5-mile run before Crossfit this morning, which is one session for the Turkeys.  But I think the cold that has been chasing me since Sunday has finally caught up.  Glad I got in the workouts this morning because nothing is going to happen this afternoon or tonight.  I've got my fingers crossed for tomorrow because I am supposed to do a 3-hour long climb bike ride.  Not sure I will have the strength for that, but we will see.

I took a couple of days off.  Had lots of body aches.  Thought I was getting a cold, but ended up being nothing but the body aches.  I have upped my run distances, so maybe it is just my body reacting to the increased training, or a nutritional thing.

Anyway, I went to the gym today and did 3 miles on the treadmill.  Got to keep moving towards that goal!

Please have the spreadsheet updated with your progress by tomorrow morning. I'll give everyone the Current Team Standings tomorrow.

Note: If you are ill/injured during the month, you have several options:

1) You may withdraw from the challenge. If this is the case, please let me know. (Or, you can tell your team captain, and they can let me know.)

2) You may revise your goal as follows:

30 days - "your missed days" = "days of participation"
Original goal x "days of participation" / 30 = Revised goal

For example: If you planned on doing 100 miles, but missed 5 days due to illness, you would recalculate your goal like this:
30 days - "5 missed days" = "25 days of participation"
100 miles x "25 days of participation" / 30 = 83 miles revised goal

3) In some cases, such as injuries, you may need to recover and can't resume your previous workout volume. If that's the case, tell your team captain (or me), and revise your goal as you see fit.

If you have questions, feel free to ask me (or your team captain).

I have had a cold and thus missed a couple workouts.  However, I remain hopeful that I can make them up and will defer any adjustments to my goal until the end of the month, if that's all right.  Thanks.

Hello Stuffed Turkeys! I had a great swim today and signed up for a winter running race series (10K, 10M, 10M in December, January and February). I may buy a new snowboard today too. Woohoo! I'm loving getting back into the swing of things again after such a long break.

Hey Dee, can you change my bike challenge from 8 sessions to 12 sessions?

I was originally shooting for 2 sessions a week, but I joined the winter cycling challenge and would like to make it 3x per week.

Thanks!
Tammy

We might be last, but we are only a quarter of the way through the challenge and we can easily pull it back!
