I was supposed to run this morning, but the weather just didn't let me. 4" is a bit much for my traction covers...they're really better suited to plowed but icy streets, not actual snow coverage. And we're supposed to get walloped again this weekend!
I'm spending some quality time on the trainer tonight, and getting a run in tomorrow. Most of it should (please please) be melted off. I'm supposed to fly to Florida on Saturday morning, we'll see how that goes! If I get to Florida, I'll be set to run in the nice weather. If I'm stuck here, I guess I'll go stir-crazy.

Can someone tell me how to get the Team Roster imported to my Training Log? I downloaded it, but it's just looks like it does on the thread.

Thanks!

dermoski - 2010-02-03 8:53 PMMorning Hearts. dcon, you're almost 30% done. That's awesome! I will be running today, tomorrow, and Sat. I am going to go out at lunch to the bike path. Hopefully, it's not too wet. It's about -3C here, so not too cold today.
oooops. Somehow I turned 1hour and 30 minutes into 130 minutes. Must have thought it was a metric hour. I corrected the error and I'm at 20%. The key for me will be whether or not my knees handle both the cycling and the running - it has been a major problem for me in the past. I've got an hour run on tap today and it will be interesting to see how the knees feel tomorrow.

If it's new snow (not slush), 4 inches is okay in just running shoes. Your shoes will get wet, but you get a nice soft run. Stuff your shoes with newspapers when you're done to help dry them out.Florida sounds nice.

I'm really feeling like a pile of poo again.  The cold that I got in January won't let go of me.  I was not able to love my running yesterday due to other obligations.  I'm going to try to love running before I teach Spinning class tonight.  Hopefully the treadmills arn't packed.

Hope you get over it soon Tracy. I've got a case of the sniffles this morning that I'm hoping I can shake quickly.

It depends upon your settings, but there are a couple of ways. Here are two:

Method #1
- Highlight the table. Copy it (CTRL + C)
- At the top of the screen, click 'settings"
- Click Training Blog Customization
- Click Dashboard
- Paste the table (CTRL + V)

Method #2
- Hit the "quote" button on the post that shows the table.
- Highlight ALL the code. Copy it (CTRL + C)
- At the top of the screen, click 'settings"
- Click Training Blog Customization
- Click Dashboard
- Paste the table (CTRL + V)
Instead of pasting the picture (above), you'll be pasting the code into your dashboard.
Once you click "update dashboard," if you still see the code (rather than the picture), scroll to the top of the screen click Training Log.
If you still see code after that, let me know....

Usually I'd agree, but this was 4" of wet slushy stuff on top of last weekend's leftover ice. Fortunately we had a lot of melting today, so I'll be getting that run in tomorrow morning. Hurray!
Here's hoping I'll actually get to Florida. Looks like we're supposed to get about 20" so I don't know if the airports will stay open.

I just got 53 minutes in on the trainer. Not my love goal, but still had to get done.

I'm looking at the same weather reports as you. They are saying to expect a minimum of 12" this Friday/Saturday and possibly up to 24! I hope you manage to get out of town. Looks like I'll switch my Saturday run to Friday.

Hey fellow challengoholic mates.

My name is Travis.  I recognize some names in here.  I have lost count of how many challenges, races, etc I have done at this point.  Here's to another successful challenge as I get my first challenge win of 2010 since I was injured for the January challenge.

Hello again!  What did you injure?

I sprained my ankle in November.  It is still sore, but tolerable now.

sounds great Smile.  I love running in the summer rain too.  I also enjoy running when it's snowing, but for some reason I don't see anyone else running (and that's okay).

I got in a LOVEly run today, and so needed it. My mother is going nuts over this snowstorm and possibly not being able to travel. She's emailing me twice a day and calling at least that much. I had to get out of the house, especially since I may get snowed into an airport with her!

This has been unusual. The whole DC/mid-Atlantic area has been getting pounded this winter, with mid/southern VA getting it especially bad. I'm not looking forward to this one! >

Good morning!

I got in another Love swim; the pool was extra busy this morning and I had some lane-sharing craziness during the early part of the swim but got in a really good workout after that.

Let's keep those Hearts beating strong!

Good morning all.  Sounds like a lot of running was gotten in.  Great job.

And the winter weather is pounding the east coast.  I may not be getting all the snow that the VA area is getting but we are getting the rain (and it's not anice summer rain, LOL).  We have been in and out of flood warnings since last Sept, with some actual flooding taking place.  More flood warnings for the next two days.  Guess GA is definately out of its drought.

G'morning folks!  I got in a quick spin on the trainer when I got home yesterday, but it was only 15 min since it was pretty late and almost time for bed. . . At least that chips away at my love goal a little, right?

I have a tempo run scheduled for tonight.  I will try my hardest to get up early tomorrow morning to make up for yesterday's missed bike session!

Happy Thursday Hearts!  I got in a trainer ride while watching Celebrity Rehab and now I'm off to Master's Swim!  My LOVE run will take place tomorrow - an hour on tap - we'll see how my knee feels afterwards.

Then I'm off to someplace sunny and warm for a week, but I have running and swimming things packed, so I'll do my best (in between rum drinks).

I hope the forecast out East is incorrect for those of you out there - last year was our record snowfall year, but this year it's been pretty quiet.
