Subject: RE: TEAM SKINNY - June a marriage of weight and goal (June2010)Hello all, glad to hear about all the peach/purple days. Susan, great job on riding your bike to work. An extra 4 miles a day added to your exercise is a great way for an extra boost, I hope the scale is kind to you today. I'm a little shocked by my number today. Don't get me wrong, my eating has been excellent and I have been exercising consistently with a lot of intervals and circuits, but I don't normally lose weight this quickly. When I was gaining weight I really couldn't figure out why. I didn't drink soda or eat fast food, I wasn't into coffee drinks or doughnuts, and I rarely kept snack food other than fruit around the house. I hadn't been exercising consistently for a while so I certainly didn't expect to lose weight, but I was packing on the pounds so quickly and I was very confused. Anyway, back in Feb. I started on a new med and my body seemed to start working again. I had gone through what seemed to be early onset menopause almost 2 years ago, but low and behold on the new med I started cycling again (never thought I'd be happy about that ). My whole body started working again including my metabolism. OK, I know TMI, but it's nice to know it wasn't all in my head. Anyway, on to my stats... Feb. 2nd, 235 June 2nd 195.5 June 9th 189.5 Wowzer, 4 pounds! My scale only measures to the nearest .5 pound so it may be a little less due to rounding, but I'll take it. I'm totally on track to hit 180 by my 38th birthday on July 13th. Thanks for all your inspiration guys, and good luck to everyone on your weight loss. |
