saling4 - 2010-06-08 6:00 AM One thing that I try to keep in mind when I eat crap is that every 100 cal's is 1 mile running. A slice of pizza is 2.5 miles, depending on cookie it can easily be .5 miles per cookie. This is not exact science so don't beat me up if you do Veggy pizza with no crust...

Is this still Pizza?

I have always hated eating the crust of  pizza for some reason. When going to a pizza buffet I would always use the salad plate to hoard the uneaten pizza crusts so I could survey the damage at the end.

I surely don't call it pizza. If it isn't unhealthy it isn't "pizza"

Found the lake today, haven't swam since IMKY last year. Started out and then so did the rains. THunderstorms were in forecast so I bailed quickly after only 500 yds. Should get on the bike tonight but have been building a swingset for my kids and yard work since 7:30 this morning.

Sounds like everyone's doing a great job of staying peachy/purpley -- nice!

I'm riding my bike to work these days -- a whopping 2 miles each way -- but it gets me out on the dirt on my cyclocross bike and if the weather's decent after work I don't always head straight home   Doing lots of yardwork too for strength workouts.

Hoping the scale is kind tomorrow morning.  G'night!

Goal 244.0

6-2 = 253.0
6-9 = 250.8
6-17 =
6-24 =
6-31 =

Considering I have only gotten one workout in this past week. I am very pleased with the weight loss. I must be doing something right.

Even at 2 miles or so you can do some great training. Spin to work...Keep RPM over 90 (preferably 100) the whole way. Or warm up a bit and push BIG gears to build strength.

Well I was 174 two weeks ago so I guess I'm finally losing some water weight or whatever from my accident.

Goal is 170

Hello all, glad to hear about all the peach/purple days.  Susan, great job on riding your bike to work.  An extra 4 miles a day added to your exercise is a great way for an extra boost, I hope the scale is kind to you today.

I'm a little shocked by my number today.  Don't get me wrong, my eating has been excellent and I have been exercising consistently with a lot of intervals and circuits, but I don't normally lose weight this quickly.  When I was gaining weight I really couldn't figure out why.  I didn't drink soda or eat fast food, I wasn't into coffee drinks or doughnuts, and I rarely kept snack food other than fruit around the house.  I hadn't been exercising consistently for a while so I certainly didn't expect to lose weight, but I was packing on the pounds so quickly and I was very confused.  Anyway, back in Feb. I started on a new med and my body seemed to start working again.  I had gone through what seemed to be early onset menopause almost 2 years ago, but low and behold on the new med I started cycling again (never thought I'd be happy about that).  My whole body started working again including my metabolism.  OK, I know TMI, but it's nice to know it wasn't all in my head.  Anyway, on to my stats...

Feb. 2nd, 235
June 2nd 195.5
June 9th 189.5

Wowzer, 4 pounds!  My scale only measures to the nearest .5 pound so it may be a little less due to rounding, but I'll take it.  I'm totally on track to hit 180 by my 38th birthday on July 13th.

Thanks for all your inspiration guys, and good luck to everyone on your weight loss.

This may be a fluke - I haven't done a good job with my eating this week.  I eat terribly and eat when I am nervous, bored, stressed.  Had a stressful week, sick kid, sick dad.  Hopefully next week will be better.

Have my first Oly coming up this week.  Decided to race age group instead of Athena. Not sure why - I definately am in the Athena class.  Guess I just one day want to NOT be Athena.

Well still hard at it..

Had my longest bike ride to date on the weekend. Also got in my longest run to date on Monday. And my most meters swam last night. Really starting to see progression.  I have been Peach all month.. but will not be tonight seeing I have to drive 2 hours to pick up my new car. So I hope this will be my only non-peach day this month... If so that will still be an accomplishment.

May End = 248 lbs
Jun 2= 246 lbs
June 9 = 244 lbs

Solid 2 lbs a week since my plateau and using one day on the weekend to re-fuel with higher carbs last few weeks seems to be working for now.

Happy with loss.  Lots of volume in training and a couple firsts.  Happy to have my first swim since a bout with ulcerative keratitis in March, my outdoor jog in 7 months, and my first group ride of the year.

Off to Vegas Saturday through Tuesday so my goal for this week is to maintain my weight.

Goal 155.0

6-1 = 165.6   %BodyFat: 19.70
6-9 =  159.8   %BodyFat: 18.00
6-17 =
6-24 =
6-31 =

Goal - 209

6/2 - 214

6/9 - 213

On my 3rd day of truly counting calories and trying to keep it low.  Yesterday, I had Sonny's BBQ for lunch (one of my favorites) and still came to 2,100 calories for the day which is roughly 500 + less than what I need.

Had a good swim this morning too.

Starting weight - 176

June 2nd- 174.5

June 9th- 172.5

Grrrr!!! The scale said 171.5 yesterday, so I'm a little annoyed by that but of course happy for a loss (I know, I know... I shouldn't complain). I've had some food high in sodium (chips, pickles, etc) so hopefully that's why I'm up a little since yesterday. However, I have been in the 170s FOREVER, so it's good to see the weight loss picking up again and moving towards the 160s.

Did a small brick this morning (11 mile bike, 2 mile run).

Good job everyone! Looks like we're seeing a lot of success.

First off, veggie pizza is the best!

Secondly, even though I had a weekend get away with the family where we ate out every meal (though I tried really hard to make good choices) and the fact that I had 4 beers last night, I am still happy with my weight loss so far this month.  Being under 200 lbs is rapidly approaching!

End of May: 214
June 2nd: 212
June 9th: 208
June 16th:
June 23rd:
June 30th: 204 (or lower!)

Only lost one pound since last week. BUT not too shabby since I did my first Tri on Saturday and proceeded to let myself eat whatever I wanted up until last night. What's great about the fact that I did that was it wasn't my breakdown of will power...I actually LET myself do it which is definitely a change in who I have become. And not only that, but the crap I did eat did nothing but screw up my stomach and made me have to visit the potty more than I would have liked. So needless to say, I didn't miss that food. Makes me pretty happy actually. Training restarts today with some HIIT so I know June will continue to be successful.

Didn't gain or lose...still at 133.5--which is fine.  My youngest daughter and I were on a two day trip and ate out for most meals.  I did have a treat or two, but didn't let it throw me into a panic of 'well, I screwed up, might as well go nuts!' so that is a win for me.  My workouts are a bit sporadic right now until hubby gets home--but I've still managed to get in some good ones.  I don't know how single parents do it!  My husband and oldest daughter have been at the Women's College Softball World Series in Oklahoma City since last Friday--I've loved having time alone with my little one (6) and it sure has made me appreciate my husband and his support of my 'activities'!
