AbbieR - 2012-10-24 2:47 PM About an 1:45 of cycling today, 15 min on the dreadmill and my strength training.  My core 100 is done for today!

nice abbie,

gregso71 - 2012-10-24 11:44 AM

Wow.  I actually bought a salad...   Good start for this food-a-holic.

Core, Run and swim tonight!

We can do it!

greg, good choice on the salad,  didnt even know my grocery store had a produce section

though about doing a half brick but my it-band is sore from yesterday. think its gonna be a low impact day (trainers).  i normally do a ab workout every night so i will just add a 100 more of something on top of that.

45 minutes on the treadmill + 100 core done!

Managed to eat a clean lunch, by my rules (fruit salad + tuna salad scraped out of wraps from a faculty lunch - skipped the cookies and chips)...ate a little too much of it, but I was in a bit of a mood. Someone at work didn't do something they were supposed to do so someone I'm friends with is likely to get hurt. Kind of pizzed me off all morning - so I took it out on the tuna salad.

My log is set to "friends only" and I am adding everyone here to my friends list. If I miss anyone and you can't access my log, please PM me and I will add you.

OK, I'm an idiot. I'm trying to do the same, but cannot find where to add friends. Apparently it's supposed to be on the lower left of the training log area, but I'm not seeing it. Anbody know what I'm missing?

Under "Settings" (tope of the page, looks like a wrench) go to "Training Log Customization" and there is a tab there for "friends"  I usually open up BT in 2 different windows so I can copy the name of the friend I want to add and just paste it.

That's what I read somewhere else, but I had never added any friends, so that area wasn't there. I see it now that I've added everyone from the thread.

Sigh, I'm a mechanical engineer and I can't independently figure out how to add friends on BT.

Okay, Got my 45 minute run in, more than half my body weight in water and did over 100 core reps tonight.  WooooHoooo.

And.....after another seriously bad day at work, I have coined a new phrase to describe the suckiness of it all:  MONDAY, part III

Yeah, but there's no swearing in there. I like the work phrases you coin that have swearing.

You like my song?  I got a girl singing it who wouldn't say a bad word if you put it in her mouth!  Asked her if she was using my lyrics and she said she was humming it.

I hate my job, my effing job.....

A lot of clean eating going on around here, very nice Cool

I have a bike/run tonight and also the mandated core workout, something I am very quick to skip so the pressure of this challenge will make me do it.

Hey everyone!  Congrats on all the hard work!  A nice morning run in here and then a good brisk walk with the pooch.  Nutrition just okay.  More carbs than I like and the turkey I bought for lunch was too salty to be clean.  Also a fail on the core challenge - Wed & Thursday nights are insane in my house with the dog and lessons etc.  I will try to make it up on Friday or the weekend.  Congrats to those that met the challenge!  I'm off to bed ha ha

Great workouts everyone.

I did a 1 hour spin/3 mile run brick this afternoon and a bunch of core-ish exercises, that I am sure added up to 100, this morning. :=)

I feel like I'm constantly missing a train here... I'm always knee deep in military bulls... work... when the challenge is made, and don't find out what it is until it's too late.
As for today's challenge... if you were to count all of the deep breaths I took to keep myself from punching someone in his jaw, I probably did 1000 core reps!  :-)

Good job on the brick... I'd love to do one like that, alas, the previously mentioned military bulls... work... prevents it.

For today, the only work out I managed to get was not beating the crap out of the people who deserve it, walking up (then eventually down) about 10 flights of stairs.  I also went for a 4 mile run today.

Now... off to update my nutrition log!

Met the core challenge, did a 3.8 mile run and my regular commute (all of 12 minutes every day - I do like living so close to work most of the time).

I rode my bicycle to work everyday, pretty much, when I lived in Hawaii.  It was a 5 mile ride.  Granted, I usually did it on my Specialized Hard Rock.  Doesn't happen now... I live 58 miles from work.  :-

just do it before and after your 24 hour shift, your riding for the week would be covered  Tongue out

Agreed.  I disagree, however, with the concept of leaving my house at 0300.  That would give me a 0145 wake up which equates to a 2030 bedtime.  Yeah... no.  lol

I teach school, and understand your feelings on a different kind of level.

MINI challenge for everyone today!!!!

Find a quiet place to .. just be quiet. Close your eyes.

Meditate for a moment.. breathe.. pray.. whatever might help you to just..

BE.

Even if it's just 5 minutes.

One of the greatest aspects of fitness for me has been to learn how self calm. Stress really sux.
