As of last night, I am at 100%. I think it blew up my foot. Dammit! Foot explosion, toppage! That's not good. Hope it's okay. And I, of course, am an idiot, so I will probably keep running on it until I simply can't. I have a race tomorrow (duathlon with hubby; he's riding, and I'm running, and, no, we can't switch, it would kill him). Then, a long run on Sunday. After that, I will evaluate how it feels and, in consultation with my coach, decide how to deal with it. I may take next week off from running. We'll see. But I just signed up for another challenge, and I hate to have to modify my goal. Bleah. Take care of that foot.... better a few days off now than a few weeks off later... |

Expert 973 Berkeley, Calif. | Subject: RE: E.V.I.L. Running Reapers - Halloween Run Challenge Hi, Team. Congrats to all the 100 percenters! I've got a 12-mile run scheduled tonight, which will push me a little past my goal. Whee! I have to apologize for not being able to participate on the team as much as I'd hoped. Work ended up going crazy this month and I ran out of time for posting and inspiring. But it was fun getting to know some of you, even just a little!\ |

I hope I remember how! Swimming? What's swimming? Is that the one they make you do before you can ride your bike and run? |

Master 1817 Lafayette, IN | Subject: RE: E.V.I.L. Running Reapers - Halloween Run Challenge I've got a treadmill run scheduled for this evening. Last run of the month to put me over 100%. It's been fun "hanging out" with y'all. Sounds like lots of you will be participating in next month's challenge. I'm sure I'll see ya round the boards. |

Master 1632 Almost Canada, WA | Subject: RE: E.V.I.L. Running Reapers - Halloween Run Challenge If I had a brain...I'd be dangerous!!! My dumb a$$ figured Sunday's long run in this months totals which would have been another 12 miles but as you all know...Sunday is 1 Nov. Can you say DUH?! I'm not happy about having to switch it to tomorrow so that I don't blow it for the team but I guess I will! That just means my long bike ride will be Sunday morn instead of tomorrow ~ my whole weekend is just a change up now!! Any ideas on how I just now figured out I did this? If you guessed that my run the other day should have put me at 100% and didn't, then you would be correct!! |

Completed my half marathon last Sunday. RR is available. Conditions were not that good. Still have a few km to go to get me to 100%. Did my first run today since my half mary. Will do another one tomorrow and that will bring me to 100%. Happy halloween...... |

Champion 5522 Frisco, TX | Subject: RE: E.V.I.L. Running Reapers - Halloween Run Challenge Hello fellow Running Reapers! Looks like I end the month injured - despite my little treadmill action I was not able to run yesterday or today. I did a fun walk with some light jogging for a mile this morning and then could not run the 5k afterwards... I am soo totally bummed.... Looks like it is off to the sports doc next week.... Anyway, I have adjusted my goal one last time and put down the mile and still end up a litle short of my goal - sorry team... |

Expert 1117 Shalimar, FL | Subject: RE: E.V.I.L. Running Reapers - Halloween Run Challenge Well I got my 100%, but it was UGLY out there! The conditions at race time were 80+ degrees with nearly 100% humidity. To add insult to injury, it poured rain about 15 minutes before the race started, and then the sun came out. Can you say hot and steamy? It just zapped my energy. So I finished the race, but not in any kind of respectable time. There's always next time, I guess. And of course now the temperature is dropping -- it's already down to 60 and it's supposed to go lower. Why couldn't that have happened before the race. Ok, time to quit whining! I've enjoyed running with all of you this month, and hope to see you all in future challenges. Happy Halloween, and go TEAM EVIL! |
