Hm. Woof?

Everyone leaving early for the holidays?

Nope.  I am in the red on vacation days already this year and have to take off the week after Christmas.

Oh dear!

And they really keep you stuck there 'til 5pm? on Thanksgiving Eve? Yikes.

TAN drive by!

I am SO glad I took today off of work... it's GORGEOUS out... sunny and 50 degrees. Cool

Slept in.
Bought new running kicks.
Went to grocery store.
Right now: making cranberry sauce, parmesan rolls, chex mix and apple crisp
In a few hours: 7 mile tempo run

Perfect.

Much better list than Monday's. or was it yesterday's?

Is that the apple crisp yummy yummy gluten free?

Of course! The crumble topping is made with the regular stuff - just a gluten free flour mix instead of regular. Mmmmm!

Could you post or PM me the recipe? Some don't work well with gluten-free flours (what kind/brand do you use?) and I'd love to have one that does.

Naw, they now that I am a push over and going along with most everything as long as the work gets done and clients are happy.  I run a pretty relaxed office to the point that my dog comes to the office everyday.

Yes, actually 6pm since I got to work late due to packing.  Janicewhokeepsmehumble and two of the Geezerettes are gathering in Atlanta as we speak. I will go over the river and through the woods to Grandma's house tonight after work. Geezerette #1 arrives tomorrow morning in Atlanta with the Grand Geezerette.  They will travel en masse to Grandma's for the big turkey dinner on Thursday. The GrandGeezerMa's turkey dinner at assisted living is on Friday. There is a schedule on a spreadsheet that has been distributed.

Chipotle!

Very strange that since I've been sick I've had a real hankering for pseudo-Mex, but I have.

BWAH HA HA HA!

I love it.

Sounds like our family gatherings. Gets complicated because certain members won't go if other members will be there, etc. but I don't do any of the planning--I'm on speaking terms with everyone and just like to gorge myself wherever and whenever. I can ignore whatever may be going on in the background.

It's funny--one place I worked was super relaxed, even encouraging about bringing dogs to work (mainly b/c the CEO and veeps all wanted to and brought their dogs ... oh and because it was called Mad Dogg Athletics back then, heh) ... but we stayed until 5pm on EVERY holiday eve, and we got Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's off. That's it. No 4th of July, nothing else, etc.

My grandmother passed away at 5:00am this morning. I'm going to miss her. I want to take a mulligan for 2011, but I'm afraid there is no "do overs".

My condolences to you and your family.

For what it is worth, mine passed away on Wednesday of last week and on the same day my other grandmother was diagnosed with cancer 10 ways from Sunday .

So, I've been thinking a lot since last week and I am trying to figure out what I am truly greatful for (outside of basic easy answer of family and friends).  For me I think that it is training; you get to continually push yourself to a breaking point and sometimes get through it.  That challange, I think, is what I am greatful for.

Any thoughts, remember outside of family and friends?

Two things come to mind: My dog, and the fact that I am employed.
