Awful quiet in here this morning.  Swim test for me this morning.  Going in the right direction.  Still need a ton of work.  Ready to sacrifice my body to the chlorine gods so I can go closer to 30 min at Oilman in Nov.

Super quiet.

I biked this morning in the cold and rain. Not fun conditions and I was super slow but good to bike.

If all goes well, I can get back to "normal" training next week.

Best stretches for hips? Anyone? I have a minor groin strain and seem to be suffering from hip soreness as well. Groin is on the mend. Need to stretch out this hip. I know warrior pose does a good job, but I have to be gentle with groin.

It's been a cold start to the summer. Lake Erie will be FREEZING next weekend for my sprint tri. I hope the wanting to get the hell out of it makes me swim the 500 m quickly!

Took yesterday off due to a lack of sleep the night before.  Nothing like being awoken at 1am by your septic tank's high level alarm.  Didn't fall back asleep until 3am or so.  Today was Masters swim, did ~1200m between the various drills.

Heading out to the car racing track in an hour so won't get a chance for any training until next week.  We have our big publicized event this weekend so it should be a lot of crazy fun.  I'll try and pop in to see how everyone's doing.

Do not force yourself into a pose (that's why I posted the modifications). Work into it gently!

I have 45 days till LP. Sleep is high on my list. I'm constantly asking hubby if we can go to bed at 8pm, and keep trying to sneak in naps at work. I'm like a walking, zombified food pit. My memory is almost non existent and I have to write everything down or it's gone from my brain as soon as it goes in. The only down side to being a food pit is all the weight I've gained in the process :-(

I so remember this! Especially at work just wanted to crawl under my desk and sleep. And eating everything in sight. The ironman "tapeworm" definitely not as bad with this HIM training, but still there a bit

I have had a heavy, stressful work schedule this week that has made me feel really wiped out most days. I've decided to skip my workout tomorrow and sleep in to try to get caught up, but I'm feeling sort of guilty about it. It's ok to do that sometimes, isn't it?

Forcing yourself to do a workout exhausted doesn't do your body any good -- SLEEP!

Last summer the 2 oldest kids were in day camp, but this year everyone is home with me all day. They are in tons of activities, and they're super active. With all that and the training, I'm tired. Looks like I'm bumping up to 4 hour long rides now (and I'm sure 5s are in the near future for me). I'm thinking that if the IM is the distance for me, I may need to pick an early season race next year and suffer through soccer season instead of swim/tennis season.

Soooo glad tomorrow is a rest day. I plan on lounging at the pool with my family before heading to a Father's Day cookout, where I plan on eating a large quantity of burgers and watermelon.

I call it major luck. Our sons play on the same soccer team and I have gotten to know him over the last couple of years. He does timing for events and is a tri-coach as well. He also does part time work at an LBS. So I called him up to see how much they are to rent. He then just offered his up "as long as they come back in perfect condition". I said "Deal!". Now hopefully I don't crash haha! I am getting them this weekend to get a couple of rides on them to see how it feels. If crosswinds become and issue it can't be any worse than being pushed by winds on a motorcycle. Not that is scary...
