Hi Melissa, welcome!  Pics are encouraged but not required.  Okay Steve, for you it was required Wink  I believe you can also find our "abs album" in Chris's siggy line along with the progress tracking spreadsheet.

Whoops...edited after I realized you're name is Melissa, not Kristen.

I have been unbelievably crazy last week and weekend but I have been keeping up with my abs... Checking in for last week.... Also, I need the opinion of the group. So Wednesday I had to work until about 10pm (hence why I skipped) and Thursday I had to drive to Indiana (4 hour drive), resolve a customer issue, and drive home; all in the same day. Anyway, during the drive home, around 9pm, I realized that I would not do my abs for a second day so I decided to do them in the car while I was driving.... So, I held my abs tight and crunched in while sitting in the drivers seat and driving. I did 20 1 minute intervals. Would you guys say this counts? Tuesday: 10 min Wednesday: skip Thursday: 20 minutes in the car... Friday: 10 min Saturday: 20 min Sunday: 10 min

Yes, it counts, though you may be a cyborg or something

Well, driving around looking for Sarah Conner is rather boring....... Actually, I was driving through rural Ohio, it was late, and I was REALLY bored.......

Dude, I've been really bored in a car before, and it has never crossed my mind to do 20(!!!) 1 minute sets of seated ab crunches. So cyborg.

It's really strong work.  This is just my backazz way of giving you a compliment

I got ya switch, thanks for the compliment!

Took some time off last week. Slowed down a bit and feel ready to go again!! Got in my time yesterday. Small yoga class today and the instructor asked if anyone wanted specific areas worked...(ummmm, pick me! pick me!) CORE :D I know it's so much core/ stability anyway, but we did plank rotations and plank leg raises and even slow bicycle crunches. I'm a happy girl.

I didn't get my core done until midnight last night.  Been burning the candle at both ends.  There are not enough hours in the day.

I had to get fitted after work for tux for daughter's wedding this weekend, then change the brake pads/rotor on the SUV, broke a ratchet extension and had to go to secondary tools turning the job into a 3 hour nightmare, got in 45 minutes on the trainer and then core, had dinner right before going to bed at 12:30.

On top of that I've been working on replacing some windows in the house, building a remoted control hydroplane with my son, and restoring a '67 Mustang that I have to finish before Christmas because it's a present to my Dad.  Anybody got Chip Foose's number? Cry

Geeze man, that is intense! I don't think I would have gotten in the 45 minute trainer ride/core. Except maybe to blow off some steam.

Nice work!

I took two weeks off after AGNats (except a random, just for fun triathlon in the middle) Our running club coach says, "If you don't take planned breaks, you will find yourself talking unplanned breaks." Heh Smile

So anyway, I did core and running when I felt like it and very easy. I'm starting back up this week with emphasis on running and strength to address some weaknesses. I'll be continuing to focus on core and adding Quads/Abductors.

It's actually all good stuff (except for breaking the tool) that I really enjoy doing.  I've been very blessed.  It's just hard because I'm juggling this "business" and it is going to last at least for the next few months.  I will never understand how people get bored after retiring.

I did see that it was all good stuff Just that sometimes a monstrous pile of good stuff makes for an exhausting day. I've been peeking at your story; you are indeed a blessed man.

Thanks for the nice welcome!

So what's the best approach? Should I be trying to target all of the different ab groups each day or should I stick with one ab group per day and then rotate as the week goes on? Should I put thought into creating an ab routine or am I overthinking and should just wing it each day? What do you all do?

Strong work.

Maybe I need another cup of coffee, but what is an "AMRP" sit up?

Had a hard time getting my core done last night I was laughing so hard.  My seven year old son just got home from the store as I was starting my core.  He was super excited because he got a pair of Nike Pro Combat panties just like daddys.  He lays down next to and starts doing core with me.  It was hilarious because he was so into it.  So cool to help shape the future.

p.s. I'm all grimey because I had just came in from working on the car. I'm normally not that dirty.

Nice!!! On a related note, I took my oldest mountain biking for the first time last weekend, he loved it!

Also nice to know that I'm only one that does abs in my underwear. My wife says I'm weird, not that that stops her from watching.......
