He's not giving up the opportunity to get some to hang out with his brother.

One way or another, that is probably a factual statement.

Of course, by hanging with his brother, he maybe delaying his potential opportunity to get some, and for us regular non-church guys, that's worth something.

I get that this whole "we're not going to be doing it any time soon" thing might be weird to non-church folk. Esp. since there are plenty of church folk who don't stick to this. But without going into too much detail, my point is that sex is NOT an issue at this moment and will not be any time soon. And honestly, I wouldn't WANT him chasing me down just to get booty. I think one of the reasons he got spooked was possibly b/c all the makin' out was too much for him at that moment - to him, it was moving too fast. And that's fine with me. I'm not a prude, by any means. But I also respect his boundaries. Though this stuff doesn't make much sense to non-Christians. And plenty of Christians don't abide by these rules anyhow. Anyway, my point is, the rules of this game are a bit different than what you all are probably used to, and certainly what I was used to for the first 25 years of my life.

And so I wait for the brother to leave...

What happened after 25?  Not only Christians don't have sex right away ;-) It's a personal decision in a regular "secular" world.

After 25 was when I started going to church regularly, etc. I know not all non-Christians jump in the sack right away. But I also know people at church who were still "pure" when they got married and I know a lot who are swearing it off until marriage- which is a little bit odd, I know, in this day and age. So there's that whole thing to navigate. Not everyone feels the same way about it all.

Come on...I am not saying this to judge anyone. I am not "pure" either, and as I said, it's a bit strange to me to know that there are 20-something folks in this world who are. My point in saying this was to attempt to explain that there are certain things that don't come up in most people's relationships, that I have to navigate with Matt. I don't mean to get all heavy or theological. I'm not that kind of Christian - I'm pretty liberal by most standards and I don't push it on anyone, and never would.

Even when he's only visiting for a short period of time (i.e., it's not like you can just hang out every weekend and stuff), and doesn't have anyone else in the area with which to hang?

5 bonus points for going out of your way to avoid ending a sentence with a preposition... awkward though it may sound.

Had a great time at my conference this afternoon and was happy to run-into "the other Scott B's" ex-gf. She was as surprised as us to hear that he is in fact either still married or seperated. Hahahaha. She did point out what a douche he is. Haha.

For the 8 people that expressed interest in the computrainer session at spokes (from my log): Turtle, NL, Slake, Doc, RollinsW, Z, 3558... We are in for 3PM on Sunday.

I think we should do the Kona course? What do you guys think.

I misspoke its 20 dollars each and we can stay until 530 if we want - but I think finishing up at 5 will be plenty

Meet at 2:30-2:45 so we can get set-up and bring a cycleops skewer if you have one because sometimes the standard skewers don't work (but they have some at the shop so not a huge deal).

Then we can go drinking/eating/football watching afterwards!

If you can't do it anymore let me know so we can get others involved. There are only 8 spots and we are full right now.

You guys have not yet seen the boots. They are fierce. Matt loves them. All the guys on NYE (all good Christian boys) loved them. My friend Jeff, who is uber-conservative got on the floor and bowed to them...they are hot.

The next time we go out, I will wear them with a dress or skirt. They are fiercer when paired with something other than pants.

2 hours is enough time on the trainer, unless you are insane.  This will be one of my first rides in aero.  So I may or may not make it the full two hours.

I'm also glad that we found somewhere for Z to ride that she will hopefully be able to stay on the bike.

Haha.

  • Z can't even ride on a trainer
  • oops.  NL's hoohah hurts riding a trainer longer than an hour
  • Wurkit wants to get with tri-hottie after brother leaves but church boys move slow
  • slake likes poon

did I miss anything else?  catch a girl up.
